Prayer of Calling

Restore to me the joy of Your salvation And sustain me with a willing spirit.

Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, And sinners will be converted to You.
Psalms 51:12-13 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/psa.51.12-13.NASB1995

It is by the power of God that we are able to proclaim Jesus to others. It is by knowing God and a relationship with Him that ignites a desire to speak truth to others. To know Him is to love Him and who can stay silent when the joy of the Lord flows from within you. It’s like young love — you want to shout it from the hilltops.

Saul, known later as Paul, went blind on the Road to Damascus after an encounter with God. God spoke to Saul, calling him to proclaim the gospel. God restored his eyesight and after spending several days with the disciples in Damascas Saul immediately began to proclaim Jesus in the synagogues, saying, “He is the Son of God.”
¹Acts 9:1-20 NASB1995

🙏Lord God, I pray asking for the zeal of Paul in proclaiming the gospel. Give me a love for the lost. May Your love cast out all fear as I encounter opportunities to speak of Your saving grace. “Restore to me the joy of Your salvation And sustain me with a willing spirit.” This I pray in Your Holy Name and for Your glory, amen. 🙏

All Souls Are Mine

Behold, all souls (lives) are Mine; the soul (life) of the father as well as the soul (life) of the son is Mine. The soul (person) who sins will die.
Ezekiel 18:4 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/ezk.18.4.NASB1995

The person who sins will die. The son will not bear the punishment for the father’s iniquity, nor will the father bear the punishment for the son’s iniquity; the righteousness of the righteous will be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked will be upon himself.
Ezekiel 18:20 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/ezk.18.20.NASB1995

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 6:23 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/rom.6.23.NASB1995

For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone who dies,” declares the Lord God. “Therefore, repent and live.”
Ezekiel 18:32 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/ezk.18.32.NASB1995

Cast away from you all your transgressions which you have committed and make yourselves a new heart and a new spirit! For why will you die, O house of Israel?
Ezekiel 18:31 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/ezk.18.31.NASB1995

ADMIT: 🙏God, I am a sinner in need of Your forgiveness
BELIEVE: 🙏God, I believe that Your Son, Jesus, came to die on my behalf so I can be forgiven of my sin and have a new heart and a new spirit and a relationship with You through Your Son, Jesus, and Your Holy Spirit.
CONFESS: 🙏I call upon the name of Jesus, who died on my behalf, and surrender myself to His way, Truth and Life as my Lord from now and forever. AMEN.

🌹I will betroth you to Me forever; Yes, I will betroth you to Me in righteousness and in justice, In lovingkindness and in compassion, And I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness. Then you will know the Lord.

Speaking the Gospel

Whoever speaks, is to do so as one who is speaking the utterances of God; . . . so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
1 Peter 4:11a, c NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/1pe.4.11.NASB1995

What a privilege we have to be entrusted with the gospel of Jesus Christ. To tell people about the saving grace we embrace. But do we? Are we embarrassed, ashamed, afraid? Fear is the greatest deterrent I’ve found to sharing the gospel. Fear of rejection being at the top of the list. Contentment in our own salvation is another. God commands us to go into all the world and make disciples, so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God who examines our hearts.
1 Thessalonians 2:4; Matthew 28:19-20 NASB1995

So, what can we do?

🌹Remember those who led you, who spoke the word of God to you; and considering the result of their conduct, imitate their faith.

“Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, For He has visited us and accomplished redemption for His people,
Luke 1:68 NASB1995

But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts.
Romans 13:14 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/rom.13.14.NASB1995

and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.
Ephesians 4:24 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/eph.4.24.NASB1995

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.

Boasting

My soul will make its boast in the Lord; The humble will hear it and rejoice.
Psalms‬ 34:2 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/psa.34.2.NASB1995

My boasting shall be that I understand and know God and that He is Lord!²

With His praise continually on my lips others will hear (the humble) and be curious, opening opportunity to share the joy of knowing, loving, and walking with God.

Do others see Jesus in you? Do others recognize there is something different about you? Do the humble hear of Jesus through you?

🌹But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption, so that, just as it is written, “Let him who boasts, boast in the Lord.”

²Jeremiah 9:24

Ambassadors

And working together with Him, we also urge you not to receive the grace of God in vain— for He says, “At the acceptable time I listened to you, And on the day of salvation I helped you.” Behold, now is “the acceptable time,” behold, now is “the day of salvation”—
2 Corinthians 6:1-2 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/2co.6.1-2.NASB1995

“And working together with Him,” in God’s power, by His living in us, in acknowledgement of His great grace, we proclaim the salvation we received, passing it on. God has a purpose for His saved children.

We are a cultivated field yielding the good word of the gospel.
For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field (cultivated land), God’s building.
1 Corinthians 3:9 NASB1995

🌹Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us;
Our appeal:
we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

The Gospel is Peace

And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds,
Colossians 1:21 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/col.1.21.NASB1995

Alienated, hostile in mind, evil — enemy of God. That is who Jesus came to sacrifice His life for. Jesus came to save His enemy. Jesus came to save you.
yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach—
Colossians 1:22 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/col.1.22.NASB1995

Blameless and beyond reproach! The Prince of Peace came to reconcile you to Himself, to bring peace into your life.

if indeed you continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, was made a minister.
Colossians 1:23 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/col.1.23.NASB1995

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful.
Colossians 3:15 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/col.3.15.NASB1995

And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Boast in The Lord!

For the kingdom of God does not consist in words but in power.
1 Corinthians 4:20 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/1co.4.20.NASB1995

It is not by my words but by God’s power in me that the gospel and His kingdom grows and flourishes.

For I will not presume to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me, resulting in the obedience of the Gentiles by word and deed, in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of the Spirit; so that from Jerusalem and round about as far as Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

The Mystery Revealed

Let a man regard us in this manner, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.
1 Corinthians 4:1 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/1co.4.1.NASB1995

Christian, we have been given a precious gift. A gift that is to be shared, handed down from generation to generation. A mystery that when revealed opens the eyes of the blind, heals the broken-hearted, restores freedom to the afflicted, hope to the lost and so much more.

just as they were handed down to us by those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and servants of the word (gospel),
Luke 1:2 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/luk.1.2.NASB1995

Let us be faithful in sharing the gospel.

And He (Jesus) said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.

The Veil

but whenever a person turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.
2 Corinthians 3:16 NASB1995‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/2co.3.16.NASB1995

The veil that separates man and God.
The temple had a veil that separated the Holy place from the Holy of Holies.  Once a year the High Priest would meet with God in the Holy of Holies with a blood sacrifice for himself and for the sins of the people. Hebrews 9:6-7

When Jesus died on the cross, He being the final sacrifice – the sacrifice of the Holy of Holies for all – the veil of separation was torn from top to bottom. Access to the Holy of Holies was open to all who desired access.

Individuals still walk with the veil of separation. Separation from the Holy of Holies, God. Through Jesus the veil is removed. Jesus was the final sacrifice that removed the veil.

And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing,
2 Corinthians 4:3 NASB1995‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/2co.4.3.NASB1995

but whenever a person turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.
2 Corinthians 3:16 NASB1995‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/2co.3.16.NASB1995

Are you ready to have your veil removed?

🌹But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.
