New Year’s Resolution #3

Thus says the Lord, “Preserve justice and do righteousness, For My salvation is about to come And My righteousness to be revealed.
How blessed is the man who does this, And the son of man who takes hold of it; Who keeps from profaning the sabbath, And keeps his hand from doing any evil.” Let not the foreigner who has joined himself to the Lord say, “The Lord will surely separate me from His people.” Nor let the eunuch say, “Behold, I am a dry tree.” For thus says the Lord, “To the eunuchs who keep My sabbaths, And choose what pleases Me, And hold fast My covenant, To them I will give in My house and within My walls a memorial, And a name better than that of sons and daughters; I will give them an everlasting name which will not be cut off.
“Also the foreigners who join themselves to the Lord, To minister to Him, and to love the name of the Lord, To be His servants, every one who keeps from profaning the sabbath And holds fast My covenant; Even those I will bring to My holy mountain And make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be acceptable on My altar; For My house will be called a house of prayer for all the peoples.”

So you shall keep My statutes and My judgments, by which a man may live if he does them; I am the Lord.

https://bible.com/bible/100/act.13.34.NASB1995

Do You KNOW Him?

Will you steal, murder, and commit adultery and swear falsely, and offer sacrifices to Baal and walk after other gods that you have not known, then come and stand before Me in this house, which is called by My name, and say, ‘We are delivered!’—that you may do all these abominations? Has this house, which is called by My name, become a den of robbers in your sight? Behold, I, even I, have seen it,” declares the Lord.
Jeremiah 7:9-11 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/jer.7.9-11.NASB1995

Do they spite Me?” declares the Lord. “Is it not themselves they spite, to their own shame?”
Jeremiah 7:19 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/jer.7.19.NASB1995

But this is what I commanded them, saying, ‘Obey My voice, and I will be your God, and you will be My people; and you will walk in all the way which I command you, that it may be well with you.’
Jeremiah 7:23 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/jer.7.23.NASB1995

What does the church look like today? What does our walk with God look like?

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.
Matthew 7:21 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/mat.7.21.NASB1995

🌹but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord who exercises lovingkindness, justice and righteousness on earth; for I delight in these things,” declares the Lord.

John 5:30 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/jhn.5.30.NASB1995

The Everlasting God

Who has directed the Spirit of the Lord, Or as His counselor has informed Him?
With whom did He consult and who gave Him understanding? And who taught Him in the path of justice and taught Him knowledge And informed Him of the way of understanding?
Isaiah‬ ‭40:13‭-‬14‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/isa.40.13-14.NASB1995

Do you not know? Have you not heard? Has it not been declared to you from the beginning? Have you not understood from the foundations of the earth? It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers, Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain And spreads them out like a tent to dwell in. He it is who reduces rulers to nothing, Who makes the judges of the earth meaningless.
Isaiah 40:21-23 NASB1995‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/isa.40.21-23.NASB1995

To whom then will you liken God? Or what likeness will you compare with Him?
Isaiah 40:18 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/isa.40.18.NASB1995

“To whom then will you liken Me That I would be his equal?” says the Holy One. Lift up your eyes on high And see who has created these stars, The One who leads forth their host by number, He calls them all by name; Because of the greatness of His might and the strength of His power, Not one of them is missing.
Isaiah 40:25-26 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/isa.40.25-26.NASB1995

Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell Me, if you have understanding,
Job 38:4 NASB1995‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/job.38.4.NASB1995

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth Does not become weary or tired. His understanding is inscrutable.
Isaiah 40:28 NASB1995‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/isa.40.28.NASB1995

Before the mountains were born Or You gave birth to the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.

More Than Sacrifice

Every man’s way is right in his own eyes, But the Lord weighs the hearts.
To do righteousness and justice Is desired by the Lord more than sacrifice.

Law, Repentance, Faith

nevertheless knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the Law; since by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified.
Galatians 2:16 NASB1995‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/gal.2.16.NASB1995

Therefore the Law has become our tutor to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith.
Galatians‬ ‭3:24‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/gal.3.24.NASB1995

No one is justified by the Law of God because no one – because of sin – can keep the law. Every living being has broken the law of God, but thank God for His law that opens our eyes to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith.

‭‭For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh,
Romans 8:3 NASB1995‬‬

So, I urge you, to seek the Lord Jesus, for . . .
“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.”
