Where Do We Seek Answers?

“Thus says the Lord who made the earth, the Lord who formed it to establish it, the Lord is His name, ‘Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’
Jeremiah 33:2-3 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/jer.33.2-3.NASB1995

Where is your first stop when you are seeking answers?

Is it the throne of grace where ‘THE GOD’ who has all the answers we could ever seek?

For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Born of God

Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and whoever loves the Father loves the child born of Him.
1 John 5:1 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/1jn.5.1.NASB1995

All things have come into being through Christ and apart from him, nothing came into being. By believing in Jesus, we are born of God. In Jesus is life. He is the Light of Mankind. Those who follow Him will not walk in darkness, but will have the Light of life.
John 1:3/John 1:4/John 8:12 NASB1995

Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and have come from God, for I have not even come on My own initiative, but He sent Me.
John 8:42 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/jhn.8.42.NASB1995

🌹but whoever keeps His word, in him the love of God has truly been perfected. By this we know that we are in Him: the one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked.

The Lord is My Banner

The Amalekites and Israel are at war with one another. Joshua leads the Israelites into battle.
Moses, Aaron and Hur went up the hill overlooking the battlefield. Moses took the staff of God with him.
When Moses raised his hand up Israel prevailed. Eventually his hand grew heavy and the Amalekites would prevail. Moses grew weak so Aaron and Hur supported his hands. Working together, Moses’ hands were held up, the Israelites won the battle over the Amalekites.

The Lord is Good

Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth.
Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before Him with joyful singing.

Lest we forget . . .

Know that the Lord Himself is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

Let us . . .

Enter His gates with thanksgiving And His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name.

Why?

For the Lord is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting And His faithfulness to all generations.

The Nearness of God

But as for me, the nearness of God is my good; I have made the Lord God my refuge, That I may tell of all Your works.
Psalms 73:28 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/psa.73.28.NASB1995

🙏 God, You are my place of shelter, protection, and safety. You are my refuge. What have I to fear? I put my trust in You. Drawing near to You has been so, so good for me. ¹I draw near to hear Your instruction, heed Your word, trust in Your Word, and to be near to You, Lord God. Walking with You has opened my eyes to the wonder of You. I can’t help but speak of Your wonders. Use me Lord God for Your glory and purpose. I desire to speak of Your glorious work in me, a sinner saved by grace, for Your purpose and glory. Amen.

🙌 Many, O Lord my God, are the wonders which You have done, And Your thoughts toward us; There is none to compare with You. If I would declare and speak of them, They would be too numerous to count.

¹Zephaniah 3:2

Do You KNOW Him?

Will you steal, murder, and commit adultery and swear falsely, and offer sacrifices to Baal and walk after other gods that you have not known, then come and stand before Me in this house, which is called by My name, and say, ‘We are delivered!’—that you may do all these abominations? Has this house, which is called by My name, become a den of robbers in your sight? Behold, I, even I, have seen it,” declares the Lord.
Jeremiah 7:9-11 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/jer.7.9-11.NASB1995

Do they spite Me?” declares the Lord. “Is it not themselves they spite, to their own shame?”
Jeremiah 7:19 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/jer.7.19.NASB1995

But this is what I commanded them, saying, ‘Obey My voice, and I will be your God, and you will be My people; and you will walk in all the way which I command you, that it may be well with you.’
Jeremiah 7:23 NASB1995

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
Psalms 91:1 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/psa.91.1.NASB1995

🙏Wondrously show Your lovingkindness, O Savior of me who takes refuge at Your right hand, from those who rise up against me.
Keep me as the apple of the eye; Hide me in the shadow of Your wings.¹
For You have been a defense for the helpless, a defense for the needy in their distress, a refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat. The breath of the ruthless is like a rain storm against a wall.²
Lord, You are my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call upon You, Lord, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies.³
To You, O Lord, I lift up my soul. O my God, in You I trust, do not let me be ashamed; do not let my enemies exult over me.⁴
