1 John 3:1

See how great a love (what kind of love) the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God; and such we are. For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.
1 John 3:1 NASB

ūüĆĻGod, what an honor it is to be called Your child. How great Your love for me Father that You gave Your only begotten Son. This love given, not because I loved You, God, but because You loved me and sent Jesus to be the propitiation for my sin. It was nothing I did but what You have done, Father. And the blessing to know that I will not perish but have eternal life and have received Jesus making me Your child!! What greater blessing could I ask? And added to this is the assurance of the Holy Spirit who testifies with my spirit that I am Your child. Praise and glory to Your name my Abba Father. In Jesus name I pray, amen.

Philippians 1:7-8

For it is only right for me to feel this way about you all, because I have you in my heart, since both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers of grace with me. For God is my witness, how I long for you all with the affection of Christ Jesus.
Philippians 1:7‭-‬8 NASB

God, the Holy King of Your Church, the body of Christ. I praise You with a thankful heart for Your children in whom my heart is blessed, filled up, full of joy as we are fellow partakers of Your glorious grace. For I long to impart some spiritual gift to them, that they may be established; that is, that I may be encouraged together with them while among them, each of us by the other‚Äôs faith, both theirs and mine.
Help me to always be ready to remind them of Your grace, abounding love, and to be established in the truth which is already present with them and they already know and has been established and is present with them. God, through You, it is my request as long as I am in this earthly dwelling, my body, to stir up fellow partakers of Your grace by reminding them of this great gift of the gospel. May I in turn also be reminded by my dear brothers and sisters. May the words I speak not be condemning, Lord, as we live and die together for Your kingdom sake. For I am Your ambassador, my King, who if in chains, I pray I would still speak boldly, as I ought to speak. In Jesus name and for His glory, amen.

In whose hand is the life of every living thing,
And¬†the breath of all mankind? — Job 12:10

So Paul stood in the midst of the Areopagus and said, ‚ÄúMen of¬†Athens, I observe that you are very¬†religious in all respects.¬†For while I was passing through and examining the¬†objects of your worship, I also found an altar with this inscription, ‚ÄėTO AN UNKNOWN GOD.‚Äô Therefore what¬†you worship in ignorance, this I proclaim to you.¬†The God who made the world and all things in it, since He is¬†Lord of heaven and earth, does not¬†dwell in temples made with hands;¬†nor is He served by human hands,¬†as though He needed anything, since He Himself gives to all¬†people¬†life and breath and all things;¬†and¬†He made from one¬†man¬†every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having¬†determined¬†their¬†appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation,¬†that they would seek God, if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him,¬†though He is not far from each one of us;¬†for¬†in Him we live and move and¬†exist, as even some of your own poets have said, ‚ÄėFor we also are His children.‚Äô¬†Being then the children of God, we¬†ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by the art and thought of man.¬†Therefore having¬† overlooked¬†the times of ignorance, God is¬†now declaring to men that all¬† people¬†everywhere should repent,¬† because He has fixed¬†a day in which¬†He will judge¬†the world in righteousness¬†through a Man whom He has¬†appointed, having furnished proof to all men¬†by¬†raising Him from the dead.‚ÄĚ — Acts 17:22-31

That man is Jesus Christ.

Book Revealing

Do all things without¬†grumbling or disputing;¬†so that you will¬†prove yourselves to be¬†blameless and innocent,¬†children of God above reproach in the midst of a¬†crooked and perverse generation, among whom you¬†appear as¬†lights in the world,¬†holding¬†fast the word of life, so that in¬†the day of Christ I will have reason to glory because I did not¬†run in vain nor¬†toil in vain. — Galatians 2:14-16

Where are your priorities, your heart? Is it on crossing the finish line in the glory of Christ or grumbling your way through life focused on winning the next dispute?

Do you not know that you are the light of the world? (Matthew 5:14) A light to those who walk in darkness? (Romans 2:19)

How we walk this life will reveal to the world who we believe Jesus to be. We are an open book hopefully revealing Christ as Savior, Light, Love, Joy, Prince of peace, Patient, Kind, Good, and Faithful. In our life we can be ambassadors for Christ or silent witnesses. Our choice.

We can be successful in crossing the finish line in glory by holding fast to the Word of life. So how’s your book of life revealing Jesus Christ? Is it?

Promise: You are His Child

which God, who cannot lie — Titus 1:2
For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. — Galatians 3:26
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, — John 1:12

God cannot lie so we are children of God, if through faith in Christ Jesus, we believe in His name. God cannot lie which means we can trust these Words of His. We are His children and this being so we receive every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.

The blessing of being holy and blameless before Him. Having His grace bestowed upon us through Jesus Christ and redemption through His blood. The forgiveness of our trespasses and having made known to us the mystery of His will. Because we are children we receive an inheritance and are sealed in Him (Jesus Christ) with the Holy Spirit of promise.

Those are promises to hang on to, rely on, trust in. If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who died on the cross for you so that you can be holy and blameless before God, then you have all these promises bestowed on you. You need not be discouraged. You have hope in these promises. Hang on to them and trust in the One who promises them to you. You can do great and mighty things through Christ when you hang on to His promises.

Go in peace and trust in the everlasting God Almighty and His perfect promises.
