One Accord

Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus, so that with one accord you may with one voice glorify  the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. — Romans 15:5-6

Amazing verse. God who gives perseverance and encouragement — something needed in every relationship and keys to successful relationships — grant us to be of the same mind — that of Christ Jesus — so together we may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!

He gives His church the tools to accomplish His glory. God is all we need in Christ Jesus.

So persevere and encourage one another in the mind and manner of Jesus for His glory!

Convinced?

Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? — Romans 8:35

For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. — Romans 8:38-39

Do you believe that Jesus is God? Do you trust Him as your Lord? Then nothing can separate you from the love of God.

God’s love for mankind was and is so great that He sent Jesus, His only Son to be crucified so that through Him we may be reconciled to God. Don’t miss what is written, that nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus. You are already separated from God if you don’t know Jesus as Savior and Lord. But the good news is that after you are reconciled to God, nothing can separate you from the love of God.

Do you believe what is written?

In The Spirit?

However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. — Romans 8:9-11

Now that is good news. Pretty much black and white. Either you do or you don’t.

Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him. — John 14:23

Do you or don’t you have the Spirit of God in you? Choose today. It is a life and death situation.

Christ Jesus

Paul, a bond-servant of Christ Jesus, called as an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God, which He promised beforehand through His prophets in the holy Scriptures, concerning His Son, who was born of a descendant of David according to the flesh, who was declared the Son of God with power by the resurrection from the dead, according to the Spirit of holiness, Jesus Christ our Lord, through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith among all the Gentiles for His name’s sake, 6 among whom you also are the called of Jesus Christ; — Romans 1:1-6

In the opening of Paul’s letter it is amazing, to me, what Paul reveals about Jesus. He is:

v.1 Christ which means Messiah
v.2 the promise of God
v.2 Revelation
v.3 Son of God
v.3 God in the flesh
v.4 Holy
v.4 Lord
v.4 Power
v.4 The Resurrection (Savior)
v.5 Our Grace

Paul mentions 3 descriptions of himself. How often in our speech is Jesus exalted above ourselves? He is the reason we speak at all. Are we being good apostles, followers, for His name’s sake?

My Thoughts on “What! Not Help You?”

And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. — Philippians 4:19

Isn’t it true how we have at our disposal the Wisdom of the universe, a 24 hour a day Counselor, Peace giver and yet we do not seek nor tap into, or should I say plug into, the Source of Power for life?

God loves us and is available for us, meeting our every need if only we would reach out, seek Him.

I also see a great example here. If God can supply our every need and is a help to us, should we not also follow His example and help others? The excuse that I can’t afford to help a neighbor in need or an entourage of other excuses does not hold water. God by example helps us, giving us what we need. Will He not also give us what we need to help others by example? Are we not called to serve one another? Out of our gratitude of the bounty of God’s helpfulness we overflow helpfulness to others.
