Tested by Praise

Apr2

The crucible is for silver and the furnace for gold, And each is tested by the praise accorded him.
Proverbs 27:21 NASB1995‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/pro.27.21.NASB1995

The crucible is a container used to liquify silver at a very high temperature. The same concept liquifies gold in a furnace. Our being tested is similiar, in that, in the heat of the moment the genuineness within us will appear.

God tests us that we may see the true intent of our heart.

You shall remember all the way which the Lord your God has led you in the wilderness these forty years, that He might humble you, testing you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not.
Deuteronomy 8:2 NASB1995‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/deu.8.2.NASB1995

Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid; for God has come in order to test you, and in order that the fear of Him may remain with you, so that you may not sin.”
Exodus 20:20 NASB1995‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/exo.20.20.NASB1995

How are your test scores?

When we are praised by others, are we humble? Do we thank the one who compliments us? Or do we puff up with pride?
As Proverbs 27:21 says, “each is tested by the praise accorded him.”

‭Examine me, O Lord, and try me; Test my mind and my heart.
Psalms 26:2 NASB1995‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/psa.26.2.NASB1995

🌹And I will bring the third part through the fire, Refine them as silver is refined, And test them as gold is tested. They will call on My name, And I will answer them; I will say, ‘They are My people,’ And they will say, ‘The Lord is my God.’ ”

The Eyes of the Lord

Feb27

I waited patiently (intently) for the Lord; And He inclined to me and heard my cry. He brought me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay, And He set my feet upon a rock making my footsteps firm.

Psalms 34:15 NASB1995‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/psa.34.15.NASB1995

What a magnificent God we have!! He gives us eternal life AND walks with us from day one. He hears our cries and steps in to help us as we intently, earnestly seek Him and His ways. God’s eyes are toward the righteous with His ears open to their cry.

O, Lord, help me to stand firm upon the rock while You
Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; For You I wait all the day.
Psalms 25:5 NASB1995‬‬

30 Days of Thanks – D24

It is good to give thanks to the Lord And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High;
To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning And Your faithfulness by night,
Psalms‬ ‭92:1‭-‬2 ‭NASB1995‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/psa.92.1.NASB1995

God is a 24 hour God. He is always available. When we walk with God, we walk morning and night. We are His to be used by 24 hours a day. How many blessings and His glory do we miss because we are caught up in our own ways instead of His way. It is good to give thanks to the Lord all day long and sing, even if it is not verbally. Then you will see His lovingkindness and declare it!

‭‭Praise the Lord! For it is good to sing praises to our God; For it is pleasant and praise is becoming.
Psalms‬ ‭147:1‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬
