1 John 4:13-15

By this we know that we abide in Him and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. We have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son to be the Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.
1 John 4:13‭-‬15 NASB

How awesome a God You are! Blessing me with Your Holy Spirit! Thank You, God, for the assurance of knowing You abide in me because of Your awesome gift of the Holy Spirit. I am no longer in the flesh but in the Spirit. I belong to You, Lord God!!!
Under the power of the Holy Spirit I will testify and proclaim eternal life through Jesus Christ who was with the Father and was being manifested to us, the Savior of the world. For You, Father, did not send Your Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. “The one who confesses the Son has the Father also”. For this I am eternally grateful, God. Thank You.
I confess with my mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in my heart that You, almighty God raised Him from the dead! Thank You, Father, for my salvation. In the name of my Redeemer I pray, amen.

🌹Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

1 John 2:15-17

Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever.
1 John 2:15‭-‬17 NASB

Eternal God of pure and perfect love, Your will be done on earth as it in heaven.
Lord I seek Your forgiveness for indulging in the desires of the flesh and of the mind, making me no different from the world. For I know that friendship with the world is hostility toward You, God. Of this I ask forgiveness. I do not want to be an enemy of my God so I will turn to You and repent.
I put on the Lord Jesus Christ and will make no provision for the flesh and will abstain from fleshly lusts which wage war against my soul so as to have the rest of the time in the flesh no longer for the lusts of mankind, but for Your will O God.
Help me God and Father to keep myself pure and undefiled – unstained by the world.
By Your grace and power I will not conform myself to this world, but will be transformed by the renewing of my mind, so that I may prove what Your will is, God, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
God, grant me endurance, as a slave of Christ doing Your will from my heart so that when I have done Your will O God, I may receive what was promised.
Transform me for Your glory my God. This I pray in Jesus name. Amen.

Kingdom Bound

Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, then My servants would be fighting so that I would not be handed over to the Jews; but as it is, My kingdom is not of this realm.”
John 18:36 NASB

The kingdom of God is not of this world. Jesus made that clear. He came to show the way to the kingdom. He paid the price for redemption. And He gave the Holy Spirit to every believer who instructs and leads us in speaking the gospel message, “and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.
Mark 1:15 NASB

🌹Jesus came as the gospel and we are to introduce the gospel to all for God’s kingdom.

He Spoke

By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, And by the breath of His mouth all their host.
He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap; He lays up the deeps in storehouses.  Let all the earth fear the Lord;
Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.
For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.
Psalms 33:6‭-‬9 NASB

🌹By His word, one breath. . . Do you stand in awe and shear reverence of God? He spoke. . . Done. His commands stand still today.

God, today may we stand in awe of You and the brilliant God You are. To You be the glory for the things You have done! Praise You for the things You are still doing!

Do Not Fear

Let us examine and probe our ways, And let us return to the Lord. We lift up our heart and hands Toward God in heaven; We have transgressed and rebelled, You have not pardoned.
Lamentations 3:40‭-‬42 NASB

“We lift up our heart and hands toward God in heaven;”. Do we? With repentant hearts or with raging fists?

Nothing happens without the approval and working of the Lord God. He did not make all of creation, including people, and then not involve Himself in His creation. As you look around what do you see? Are we looking for pardon yet living our lives as if our Creator has no say or part in where we go, what we do? If so, we need to “examine and probe our ways”. When we do we will find that we need to return to the Lord.

God is patient not wanting anyone to perish but He is also holy and just and will not allow us to continue in disobedience to Him.

Now is the time to seek the Lord with repentant hearts, turning to Him, crying out to God who can redeem you and give you peace even when the rebellious world around you is falling apart.

You have heard my voice, “Do not hide Your ear from my prayer for relief, From my cry for help.” You drew near when I called on You; You said, “Do not fear!” O Lord, You have pleaded my soul’s cause; You have redeemed my life.
Lamentations 3:56‭-‬58 NASB

🌹Are you experiencing peace, content in the Lord or are you walking with and looking like the world around you?

Is Today Any Different?

And the people will be oppressed, Each one by another, and each one by his neighbor; The youth will storm against the elder And the inferior against the honorable. For Jerusalem has stumbled and Judah has fallen, Because their speech and their actions are against the Lord, To rebel against His glorious presence. Isaiah 3:5‭, ‬8 NASB

Is it any wonder why the world is as it is today?

The Almighty God, Creator of all, looks upon His creation and sees the depravity, self-centered, lewd, corrupt, unloving, uncaring people lost in their sin.

It breaks my heart that there is such disregard for our Sovereign Lord.

🌹Where is your heart? Are you walking honorably in His presence? Does your speech and actions bring glory to God? Are you one who does justice and seeks truth? Can God move you to stand firm on His truth? To speak that truth with boldness and earnestness?

“Roam to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem,
And look now and take note.
And seek in her open squares,
If you can find a man,
If there is one who does justice, who seeks truth,
Then I will pardon her. Jeremiah 5:1

It’s The Lord’s

Glenda, this is for you. Thank you.

I was recently challenged at a women’s get together at my church. The challenge was to literally hide God’s Word in my heart. If I would take the time to memorize the Word of God I would be equipped to: share the gospel, stand against the attacks of Satan, be encouraged when discouraged, strengthened when weak, victorious in fear, and so on and so on.

I decided to memorize Psalm 24. One verse a day. Friday morning I wrote the verse down and started repeating it throughout the day.

Saturday came and went without writing the second verse or memorizing it. Had I given up already? No. Life just gets in the way, or actually I let life interrupt. I did continue to repeat Psalm 24:1 throughout the day — but it was different this time. I wasn’t trying to remember the verse so it started to penetrate my thoughts, meditating on His awesome Word. Today I plunged deep into the unfathomable, overwhelming, deep, personal, unchanging Word. How could one little verse be filled with so much?

Let me share Psalm 24:1.

The earth is the Lord’s and all it contains, the world and those who dwell in it.   (Yes, I wrote it from memory).

When I try to wrap my mind around the fact that earth itself, all it contains, and every last living being on it belongs to the Lord, I am blown away. I don’t even have words that can contain, explain, make fathomable that one verse. There could be books written about this one verse and still not touch on the awesomeness of God and His divine hand print on HIS earth. HIS world.

I will point out that the part of this verse that stood out the most was that I, little insignificant me, belongs to God. WOW! This brings me great joy, peaceful security, undaunting confidence, faithful courage and so much more. I am loved. I belong.

There are some who read this verse and do not find the things I see. They don’t want to belong to God. They fight the truth that they are already His. That stubborn, unrelenting, I am in control, non-surrendering person keeps themselves from experiencing what their souls long for. To belong. To be loved. To feel secure. To know peace. God wants to bless those who dwell on His earth but there must be a surrender of one’s will to that of God.

Do you want to trust? Surrender to Jesus Christ today and know true peace, security and belonging. Then learn His Word. Plant it in your heart and meditate on it day and night.

God Gave Light

thFor God expressed His love for the world in this way: He gave His only Son so that whoever believes in Him will not face everlasting destruction, but will have everlasting life. 17 Here’s the point. God didn’t send His Son into the world to judge it; instead, He is here to rescue a world headed toward certain destruction.

18 No one who believes in Him has to fear condemnation, yet condemnation is already the reality for everyone who refuses to believe because they reject the name of the only Son of God. 19 Why does God allow for judgment and condemnation? Because the Light, sent from God, pierced through the world’s darkness to expose ill motives, hatred, gossip, greed, violence, and the like. Still some people preferred the darkness over the light because their actions were dark. 20 Some of humankind hated the light. They scampered hurriedly back into the darkness where vices thrive and wickedness flourishes. 21 Those who abandon deceit and embrace what is true, they will enter into the light where it will be clear that all their deeds come from God. — John 3:16-21 (The Voice)

God gave us the Light. Come to the Light. Bow before Jesus in prayer. Know the Light. Read God’s wonderful story of Jesus in the Bible. Seek the Light and worship the Light. Jesus is the light of the world.
