Have you experienced the joy of God’s Word? Have you trusted His promises? Do you know His promises?
I encourage you to read your Bible daily. There are apps you can use that will lay out a daily reading plan.
Need accountability? Join an app with a friend or two or more.
Ask questions. Share how God spoke to you through His word. Share how you plan to apply His word. Reading with others helps in your growth in Jesus.

May God’s word be a joy and delight of your heart today so that you can say . . .

“Portion” is written in several different translations as:

The Lord is my inheritance, my choice, my share in life, my everything, all I want, mine.

With the Lord as our portion how can we not desire, promise, to keep His word? How can we keep His word unless we feast on His word daily? How can we know Him as our portion without His word?

🌹Jesus, the indescribable gift (Romans 5:15-21). Jesus, the Word became flesh (John 1:14). The Word that speaks of God’s will. Thank You God for Your word that performs its work in those who believe.

God shows the way,  His perfect way, through His word. God sent His word so we don’t have to walk in darkness and ignorance. If we don’t read God’s word we don’t know how to walk with God in fellowship, love and obedience.
Josiah surrendered his heart and soul to walk with God and to keep His word. And the natural outcome is that others will join you in following by the testimony of your walk and talk.

Praise God for His word and the privilege of living out His word before others.

🌹Seek God with all your heart, walk blamelessly in His ways, the law and testimonies of His word. Know God’s word so you may diligently keep His word and be blessed.

What Are You Professing?

They profess to know God, but by their deeds they deny Him, being detestable and disobedient and worthless for any good deed.         Titus 1:16 NASB

What are people in the world seeing in you? Do they see themselves? Living life in discontent, fear, greed, selfishness, pride, disobedience?

Or do they see Jesus? Contentment, peace, godliness, righteousness, giving, loving, mercy, grace, obedience – the qualities of Christ living, abiding in you?

Is God’s word planted in your heart? Is He your constant companion? Are you fully aware of His presence throughout your day? Are you clothed in His righteousness? Obedient at all cost to His will, His plan, His purpose?

The one who says, “I have come to know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him; 1 John 2:4 NASB

A sure gauge, plumbline to assess ourselves. Jesus is the Truth. If He is abiding in you then obedience to God will be evident. The Holy Spirit enables us to be obedient to His word, His commandments, His will and His purpose.

Without Him we are nothing, able to do nothing. With Christ in us we are able to be content whatever the situation, be fearless in the unknown because we are secure in the One who knows all and able to be obedient.
