God is King

For the Lord Most High is to be feared, A great King over all the earth.
Psalm 47:2 NASB
For God is the King of all the earth; Sing praises with a skillful psalm.
Psalm 47:7 NASB

We have an awesome God! He is King over ALL the earth and He will be feared by those who oppose Him and His people. What have we to dread?

You shall not dread them, for the Lord your God is in your midst, a great and awesome God.
Deuteronomy 7:21 NASB

And the Lord will be king over all the earth; in that day the Lord will be the only one, and His name the only one.
Zechariah 14:9 NASB

The Lord Most High, our King, is in our midst. He will strengthen us for battle. Let us bow before Him singing praises and pray.

Say to God, “How awesome are Your works! Because of the greatness of Your power Your enemies will give feigned obedience to You. Come and see the works of God, Who is awesome in His deeds toward the sons of men.
Psalms 66:3‭, ‬5 NASB

What is the outcome then? I will pray with the spirit and I will pray with the mind also; I will sing with the spirit and I will sing with the mind also.
1 Corinthians 14:15 NASB

O God, You are awesome from Your sanctuary. The God of Israel Himself gives strength and power to the people. Blessed be God!
Psalms 68:35 NASB

I have sworn by Myself, The word has gone forth from My mouth in righteousness And will not turn back, That to Me every knee will bow, every tongue will swear allegiance.

Miracles Through Prayer

Now there was a man at Caesarea named Cornelius, a devout man who prayed to God continually.
Acts 10:1-2
Peter went up on the housetop about the sixth hour to pray.
Acts 10:9 NASB

Cornelius, a Gentile, prayed continually.
Peter, a Jew, prayed.

God moved and the gospel was opened to every living person until Christ’s return.
Two men miles apart connected by prayer. The faithfulness of God to move, for His will and purpose, in His people who pray.

🌹What miracles and movement of God are we missing out on because we do not pray regularly, earnestly, continually?

Continually Seeking Him,

Sharon

P.S. Please read the entire account of Cornelius and Peter in Acts 10. It is a wonderful testimony of the power and movement of God through prayer.

Holy Spirit Power

and my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God.
1 Corinthians 2:4‭-‬5 NASB

When speaking to others about God, we don’t need to rely on “churchy words”, make ourselves sound righteous, or use persuasive words. We simply need to rely upon the power of the Holy Spirit in us and His work in them. God will move a person to faith in Him by His power, not by our wisdom.

🌹For the kingdom of God does not consist in words but in power.
1 Corinthians 4:20 NASB

Vessel of Light

For God, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.
But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves;
2 Corinthians 4:6‭-‬7‭ NASB

🌹God, thank you for filling this dark vessel with Your glorious Light. Shine Your Light through the broken pieces of this vessel to others around me. I am humbled by the surpassing greatness of Your everlasting power that resides in me. Help me not to waste opportunities to shine the Light of the knowledge of Your glory God in the face of Christ. In the name of Jesus and for His glory, amen.

The Power of the Holy Spirit

So Jesus said to them (disciples) again, “Peace be with you; as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” And when He had said this, He breathed on them and *said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, their sins have been forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they have been retained.”
John 20:21‭-‬23 NASB

Just as God the Father sent Jesus into the world, Jesus has sent us, His disciples, into the world.

As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.
John 17:18 NASB

Receiving of the Holy Spirit is given to every believer at the time of conversion (the spiritual change in a person who repents of their sin and turns to Jesus and lives their life in obedience to God). The indwelling Holy Spirit is the power of God in us to continue the work that Christ began.
Jesus is the forgiver of sin but under the power of the Holy Spirit we can forgive or not forgive sin in the aspect that we can share the gospel and those who repent we can forgive them their sins by the power of the Holy Spirit. On the opposite side of that, those who choose to retain their sin, it will be retained.
See Matthew 16:19, 18:18

An example of this is when Jesus sent the 12 disciples out to share the gospel door to door:

Whoever does not receive you, nor heed your words, as you go out of that house or that city, shake the dust off your feet.
Matthew 10:14; Mark 6:11; Luke 9:5 NASB

🌹“The one who listens to you listens to Me, and the one who rejects you rejects Me; and he who rejects Me rejects the One who sent Me.”

Holy Spirit Qualified

Requirement for leading people to the Lord:

for he (Barnabas) was a good man, and full of the Holy Spirit and of faith. And considerable numbers were brought to the Lord.
Acts 11:24 NASB

And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit was giving them utterance.
Acts 2:4 NASB

but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.”
Acts 1:8 NASB

And with great power the apostles were giving testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and abundant grace was upon them all.
Acts 4:33 NASB

Have you received the Holy Spirit? Then you are qualified to share the gospel.

🌹For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline. Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord or of me His prisoner, but join with me in suffering for the gospel according to the power of God, who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was granted us in Christ Jesus from all eternity, but now has been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel,
2 Timothy 1:7‭-‬10 NASB

God of The Impossible

But God raised Him up again, putting an end to the agony of death, since it was impossible for Him to be held in its power.
Acts 2:24 NASB

Jesus, our Savior rose from the dead because it was IMMPOSIBLE for Him to be held in its power! If death cannot hold Jesus from accomplishing the Father’s plan through obedience, what does that say to us who believe?

And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed;
2 Corinthians 9:8 NASB

We have everything we need in abundance to sufficiently accomplish God’s will in our lives. He has a plan for each of His children and will abundantly supply for His glory in the church and in our Savior Jesus Christ.

Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.
Ephesians 3:20‭-‬21 NASB

The key to the abundant working of God in our life is to ask, believing.

For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen.
Romans 11:36 NASB

With God all things are possible!!

And looking at them Jesus said to them, “With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Matthew 19:26/Mark 10:27/Luke 18:27 NASB

For nothing will be impossible with God.”
Luke 1:37 NASB

Lord?

“Why do you call Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?
Luke 6:46 NASB

I can’t help but wonder how my salvation measures up to this verse. Lord. Lord is one who has authority, control, or power over others; a master, chief, or ruler. Is Jesus master of my life? Do I surrender to His authority? His control? His power? Or am I content believing I am saved, sealed for eternity and can live my life the way I want to and not do what my Lord says?

🌹“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.
Matthew 7:21 NASB
