And He spoke many things to them in parables, saying, “Behold, the sower went out to sow;Â and as he sowed, some seeds fell beside the road, and the birds came and ate them up. Others fell on the rocky places, where they did not have much soil; and immediately they sprang up, because they had no depth of soil. But when the sun had risen, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away. Others fell among the thorns, and the thorns came up and choked them out. And others fell on the good soil and yielded a crop, some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty.
Matthew 13:3â€-‬8; Mark 4:3-8; Luke 8:5-8 NASB
As soon as He was alone, His followers, along with the twelve, began asking Him about the parables.
Mark 4:10 NASB
And He said to them, “Do you not understand this parable? How will you understand all the parables? These are the ones who are beside the road where the word is sown; and when they hear, immediately Satan comes and takes away the word which has been sown in them. In a similar way these are the ones on whom seed was sown on the rocky places, who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with joy; and they have no firm root in themselves, but are only temporary; then, when affliction or persecution arises because of the word, immediately they fall away. And others are the ones on whom seed was sown among the thorns; these are the ones who have heard the word, but the worries of the world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things enter in and choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. And those are the ones on whom seed was sown on the good soil; and they hear the word and accept it and bear fruit, thirty, sixty, and a hundredfold.”
Mark 4:13â€, ‬15â€-‬20 NASB

And a lawyer stood up and put Him (Jesus) to the test, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” And He said to him, “What is written in the Law? How does it read to you?” And he answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.” And He said to him, “You have answered correctly; do this and you will live.”

But Peter said, “I do not possess silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you: In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene—walk!” And seizing him by the right hand, he raised him up; and immediately his feet and his ankles were strengthened. With a leap he stood upright and began to walk; and he entered the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God. And all the people saw him walking and praising God; and they were taking note of him as being the one who used to sit at the Beautiful Gate of the temple to beg alms, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.
Acts 3:6â€-‬10 NASB
And on the basis of faith in His name, it is the name of Jesus which has strengthened this man whom you see and know; and the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect health in the presence of you all.
Acts 3:16 NASB
Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord; and that He may send Jesus, the Christ appointed for you,

Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so.
Acts 17:11 NASB
Do you know the truth? The truth found in the word of God, the Bible? Or are you trusting your eternity to a man in a pulpit, a “Christian” friend, the heritage passed on by your parents?
We can be blessed by all of the above but how do we know it is spoken correctly?
We need to examine the Scriptures, Bible, daily. Yes, daily, to know the truth. The best part is that you can rejoice when you know the person in front of you is speaking the truth and you can add to the conversation because you know what they are talking about. It is also great affirmation of God’s word and His ways when you can agree with and understand what is being said. God reveals Himself through His word.
🌹 Now is the time apply yourself to His word so you can see how awesome God is!!

P.S. There are lots of Bible reading plans out there for “Read the Bible in a Year”.
When they had brought them (the apostles), they stood them before the Council. The high priest questioned them, saying, “We gave you strict orders not to continue teaching in this name, and yet, you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching and intend to bring this man’s blood upon us. “But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men. The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you had put to death by hanging Him on a cross. He is the one whom God exalted to His right hand as a Prince and a Savior, to grant repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. And we are witnesses of these things; and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey Him.”
Acts 5:27â€-‬32 NASB
The apostles had witnessed the life of Jesus. They walked with Him, talked with Him, experienced Him and knew He was the Son of God sent to redeem. They were “witnesses of these things”.
But God . . . “has given to those who obey Him the Holy Spirit” who is a witness of these things.
Do you have the Holy Spirit residing in you? Then you are a witness to Jesus’s redemptive power.
🌹What are you doing with the Witness residing in you?

When you hear of wars and disturbances, do not be terrified; for these things must take place first, but the end does not follow immediately.”
Luke 21:9
This world, this earth is not our home. Sin has destroyed and continues to destroy. There is a stark contrast of this world and heaven but remember that God is at work and has a plan. There is nothing that happens that God is not fully aware of and His plan will be played out no matter what because He is God.
God gives all the opportunity to be a participant in His plan. It is our choice to join Him or not.
It will lead to an opportunity for your testimony.
Luke 21:13 NASB
It is during terrifying times that many are searching for answers. It is the time for those who know Jesus Christ to step up so others may know Christ and His salvation.
It is also a time when we should be most hopeful.
But when these things begin to take place, straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”
Luke 21:28 NASB

Isaac spoke to Abraham his father and said, “My father!” And he said, “Here I am, my son.” And he said, “Behold, the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?” Abraham said, “God will provide for Himself the lamb for the burnt offering, my son.” So the two of them walked on together.
Genesis 22:7â€-‬8 NASB
Then they came to the place of which God had told him; and Abraham built the altar there and arranged the wood, and bound his son Isaac and laid him on the altar, on top of the wood. Abraham stretched out his hand and took the knife to slay his son.
Genesis 22:9â€-‬10 NASB
But the angel of the Lord called to him from heaven and said, “Abraham, Abraham!” And he said, “Here I am.” He said, “Do not stretch out your hand against the lad, and do nothing to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.”
Genesis 22:11â€-‬12 NASB
Then Abraham raised his eyes and looked, and behold, behind him a ram caught in the thicket by his horns; and Abraham went and took the ram and offered him up for a burnt offering in the place of his son.
Genesis 22:13 NASB
Just as God the Father provided Jesus as the sacrifice for us, He provided a substitute for Issac. Out of Jesus’s great love for the Father and mankind He willingly sacrificed His life for you, for us.
Abraham’s obedience was to God no matter the cost. God desires our obedience to Him but we also need to remember that He is a loving, righteous God. The situation was never the cost of Isaac’s life or for Abraham to murder his son but to show Abraham the cost of following God.

Daniel answered before the king and said, “As for the mystery about which the king has inquired, neither wise men, conjurers, magicians nor diviners are able to declare it to the king. However, there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries, and He has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar what will take place in the latter days. This was your dream and the visions in your mind while on your bed.
Daniel 2:27â€-‬28 NASB
What a revelation for king Nebuchadnezzar when Daniel interpreted the dream and stated where the answer came from. What glory is given to God by Daniel. God has a plan to make Himself known and for His people to bring Him glory in their words, actions and obedience.
Humbly Daniel speaks. . .
But as for me, this mystery has not been revealed to me for any wisdom residing in me more than in any other living man, but for the purpose of making the interpretation known to the king, and that you may understand the thoughts of your mind.
Daniel 2:30 NASB
What is the result of a humble heart that seeks to speak the gospel truth and glory to God?
The king answered Daniel and said, “Surely your God is a God of gods and a Lord of kings and a revealer of mysteries, since you have been able to reveal this mystery.”
Daniel 2:47 NASB
🌹What great joy there is in humble obedience to God and being used by Him to fulfill His purpose and will. Are you living God’s plan?

As for these four youths, God gave them knowledge and intelligence in every branch of literature and wisdom; Daniel even understood all kinds of visions and dreams.
Daniel 1:17 NASB
God has a plan, He always does. King Nebuchadnezzar thought he was grooming Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah to serve Him but actually God grooms His children for His purpose and will to be done. From where did these youth receive knowledge and intelligence? Right, God Himself.
The king had a dream that was disturbing him and he wanted an interpretation.
The king replied to the Chaldeans, “The command from me is firm: if you do not make known to me the dream and its interpretation, you will be torn limb from limb and your houses will be made a rubbish heap. But if you declare the dream and its interpretation, you will receive from me gifts and a reward and great honor; therefore declare to me the dream and its interpretation.” They answered a second time and said, “Let the king tell the dream to his servants, and we will declare the interpretation.”
Daniel 2:5â€-‬7 NASB
The king wasn’t going to take any guessing. This was serious business. When Daniel, being part of the designated group of the king’s consultants, heard about it he immediately did something we should all apply to our lives.
Then Daniel went to his house and informed his friends, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah, about the matter, so that they might request compassion from the God of heaven concerning this mystery, so that Daniel and his friends would not be destroyed with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.
Daniel 2:17â€-‬18 NASB
Daniel went to his church family so together they could pray for God’s wisdom and intervention.
Daniel said, “Let the name of God be blessed forever and ever, For wisdom and power belong to Him. It is He who changes the times and the epochs; He removes kings and establishes kings; He gives wisdom to wise men And knowledge to men of understanding. It is He who reveals the profound and hidden things; He knows what is in the darkness, And the light dwells with Him. To You, O God of my fathers, I give thanks and praise, For You have given me wisdom and power; Even now You have made known to me what we requested of You, For You have made known to us the king’s matter.”
Daniel 2:20â€-‬23 NASB
🌹 Where do you go when you need fears relieved, courage to face those fears, answers to life issues, etc.? I hope it is God in prayer with fellow church family members.
