Faith Works

What use is it, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but he has no works? Can that faith save him?
James 2:14 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/jas.2.14.NASB1995

Works is an outpouring of faith. The desire, the call to serve sincerely, comes from a heart to serve our Lord God. Do you know that you know that you know you are saved?

Salvation is a commitment to follow and serve God.

Are you content in your salvation?

🌹But one who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man will be blessed in what he does.

Loyalty &Allegiance

“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.
Matthew 6:24 NASB1995
https://bible.com/bible/100/mat.6.24.NASB1995

God is not against wealth. But when wealth becomes the object of worship, then there is a problem. There is nothing wrong with being successful unless that becomes an object of worship. When success and wealth become our obsession then there is a problem.

for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Matthew 6:21 NASB1995

God is our provider. He provides what we need. He blesses those who faithfully serve Him, those who are loyal to His purpose and cause.

🌹Where do you place your allegiance? In treasures (wealth) or God?

30 Days of Thanks – D27

Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.
Colossians‬ ‭3:17‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/col.3.17.NASB1995

You are, because God created you. He created you for a purpose. To know God, to serve Him, to glorify Him in word and deed with a thankful heart. A  thankful heart makes for a successful purpose. Thankful for God in you, moving you to do His work, to bring about His plan for humanity.

Are you thankful for God’s work and purpose through you to bring about His way, His truth, His life to a dying world?
‭‭
Whoever speaks, is to do so as one who is speaking the utterances of God; whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
1 Peter‬ ‭4:11‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

Seek and Know

“As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a whole heart and a willing mind (soul); for the Lord searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.
1 Chronicles 28:9 NASB

The grace of God allows us to find Him.
Seeking God is to know Him.
Knowing God is to revere Him.
To revere God is to worship, respect, honor, exalt, cherish, adore, admire, obey and seek.

🌹You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.
Jeremiah 29:13 NASB

Shout Joyfully While Serving

Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth.
Serve the Lord with gladness;
Psalm 100:1-2a NASB

Shout joyfully to the Lord while serving Him with gladness and as you serve the Lord your God, out of obedience, He will bless your bread and your water; and I will remove sickness from your midst.
Exodus 23:25 NASB

🌹“Now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require from you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and love Him, and to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul,

Do You Love Me?

He (Jesus) *said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?” And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.” Jesus *said to him, “Tend My sheep.
John 21:17 NASB

Jesus asked Peter three times, “Do you love me?” and Peter responded 3 times with a yes. Jesus reponded to those three yeses with instructions to obey Him by serving. Serve by feeding others the Word of God. Serve by drawing the lost to Christ.

Our salvation is a gift. Thankfulness for that gift is serving God who entrusts us to love His sheep. Let’s excel in our love for God proving, to others and ourselves, by serving and obeying Him.
Loving Him more than family, friends, job, church, etc. Even ourselves.

🌹So take diligent heed to yourselves to love the Lord your God.
Joshua 23:11 NASB

Serving Jesus

If anyone serves (is serving) Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also; if anyone serves (is serving) Me, the Father will honor him.
John 12:26 NASB

We cannot serve Jesus without following Him. Where He is working is where we will be. Following Jesus, which means surrendering our will to His will. His will is our priority. It is ALL about Him and obeying His will.

And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.
Matthew 10:38 NASB

Jesus relinquished His will to the Father by surrendering His life to fulfill the Father’s plan. All the way to the cross. He gave up His throne. He humbled Himself. He suffered. He died.

Are you ready to pick up your cross and follow Jesus? Relinquish your life no matter what is asked of you, no matter where it takes you?

This relinquishing of life comes with a promise, “If anyone is serving Me, the Father will honor him” and “Where I Am, there will My servant be also.”

🌹 The promise of eternity with God. Wow!!!

All My Heart

Only fear the Lord and serve Him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you. — 1 Samuel 12:24

When I consider all the Lord has done for me — relocated from on high to a dark world of sin; endured extreme pain, ridicule, being mocked; experiencing rejection and ultimately on the cross loneliness, shame and sin — how can I not believe with all my heart in Jesus Christ.*

He has given me life worth living filled abundantly with love, peace, joy, contentment and a journey beyond all my expectations. Let me make it clear that I am not perfect and make many mistakes while the Lord conforms me to His will. I still have freewill and that “will” many times has a hard time trusting. But I will continue to return to God with all my heart.«

I choose to fear and serve Him with all my heart. I choose to seek Him, love Him, observe and keep His law, hold fast, walk in His ways giving thanks and doing it with all my heart. The more I practice these the more my trust toward the Lord increases so that I trust Him with all my heart.

As I trust my Lord I rejoice and exult Him with all my heart!»

Continually seeking Him,

Sharon

Thank You Christ Jesus

I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength to do his work. He considered me trustworthy and appointed me to serve him, — 1 Timothy 1:12 (NLT)

What an honor and privilege it is to be a spokesperson for God Himself. That He would think me faithful and trustworthy to serve Him so blesses my heart. “But when God, who had set me apart even from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace, was pleased to reveal His Son in me” my journey of a lifetime truly began.

In serving the Lord I am only worthy because God revealed His Son in me and by His strength alone I can do all things. As servants of our God we do well to recognize that we are not adequate in ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves but our adequacy comes from God through whom our only power and success come.

Our trust and dependence must be solely upon our Lord. We must seek His ways and be obedient with total surrender. When we are, we will see the glory of God at work in us and in those lives we touch. Are you ready for the adventure God has planned for you? He is waiting to reveal the infinite things that Jesus Christ can do through you.

Seek Jesus and let Him transform you.

Continually seeking Him,

Sharon

But when God, who had set me apart even from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace, was pleased to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately consult with flesh and blood, — Galatians 1:15-16

I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. — Philippians 4:13

Not that we are adequate in ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God, — 2 Corinthians 3:5
