Philippians 1:18b-20

Yes, and I will rejoice, for I know that this will turn out for my deliverance  (salvation) through your prayers and the provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, according to my earnest expectation and hope, that I will not be put to shame in anything, but that with all boldness, Christ will even now, as always, be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.
Philippians 1:18b-‬20 NASB

Sovereign God, I rejoice in knowing that through the prayers of Your saints and the provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ in me that I will not be put to shame in anything. The provision of the Spirit, is that He is in control for allowing or restraining my efforts, my way, my path in life. My great expectation and hope does not disappoint, because Your love, God, has been poured out within my heart through the Holy Spirit who was given to me. If I should suffer as a Christian, I will not be ashamed, but with all boldness, glorify You, Father, in the name of Jesus. For I have been bought with a price: therefore Christ will, even in persecution, be exalted and glorified in my body whether by life or by death. My hope of seeing Your glory gives me boldness to speak of Your glory. Amen.
Romans 5:5/1 Peter 4:16/1 Corinthians 6:20/2 Corinthians 3:12 NASB

🌹for if we live, we live for the Lord, or if we die, we die for the Lord; therefore whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s. For to this end Christ died and lived again, that He might be Lord both of the dead and of the living.
Romans 14:8‭-‬9 NASB

Philippians 1:15-18

Some, to be sure, are preaching Christ even from envy and strife, but some also from good will; the latter do it out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel; the former proclaim Christ out of selfish ambition rather than from pure motives (not sincerely), thinking to cause me distress in my imprisonment. What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed; and in this I rejoice.
Philippians 1:15‭-‬18 NASB

God of truth, I pray I will always proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ out of love and goodwill. I ask that I proclaim in sincerity with pure motives.
Even for those who proclaim Christ, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ, seeking their own selfish ambitions and do not obey the truth, I pray their proclamation of the gospel will still be used to bring glory to Christ and salvation to those who hear. In this I rejoice. God’s word does not come back void. In Christ’s name I pray. Amen.
2 Corinthians 11:13/Romans 2:8 NASB

🌹So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.
Isaiah 55:11 NASB

Memorial Day

Today we remember the sacrifice of many who gave their lives so that we might live free in this land we call the United States of America.
As Americans, have we taken this freedom for granted?

As Christians around the world, do we take for granted the sacrifice of our Savior, Jesus Christ?

It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.
Galatians 5:1 NASB

For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
Galatians 5:13 NASB

As these servicemen of the branches of the Armed Forces gave their lives for freedom out of love for their country, Jesus gave His life for all creation, the entire world.

Professing Christian, are you forsaking the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for your freedom by becoming a slave once again to the ways of the world?

🌹God, I once again surrender to You as Your bondservant, who by Your grace, I am set free. Forgive me Lord God when I use this freedom, given to me by Your sacrifice, as a covering for any kind of evil. Help me to keep standing firm on Your foundation. As a bondservant for Your namesake, I proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord! To Your glory, Jesus Christ, my Savior! Amen.
1 Peter 2:16/2 Corinthians 4:5 NASB

Philippians 1:9-11

And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve (discover or distinguish between the things that differ) the things that are excellent, in order to be sincere and blameless until (for) the day of Christ; having been filled with the fruit of righteousness which comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
Philippians 1:9‭-‬11 NASB

🌹Lord may You cause us to increase and abound in love for one another, and for all people. God fill us with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding and may we never cease to pray this for our fellow brothers and sisters. For we know that the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. And the work of righteousness will be peace, And the service of righteousness, quietness and confidence forever. God, You will confirm us to the end, blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. In Your righteousness I shall find my confidence and I shall rejoice. Amen.

Philippians 1:7-8

For it is only right for me to feel this way about you all, because I have you in my heart, since both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers of grace with me. For God is my witness, how I long for you all with the affection of Christ Jesus.
Philippians 1:7‭-‬8 NASB

God, the Holy King of Your Church, the body of Christ. I praise You with a thankful heart for Your children in whom my heart is blessed, filled up, full of joy as we are fellow partakers of Your glorious grace. For I long to impart some spiritual gift to them, that they may be established; that is, that I may be encouraged together with them while among them, each of us by the other’s faith, both theirs and mine.
Help me to always be ready to remind them of Your grace, abounding love, and to be established in the truth which is already present with them and they already know and has been established and is present with them. God, through You, it is my request as long as I am in this earthly dwelling, my body, to stir up fellow partakers of Your grace by reminding them of this great gift of the gospel. May I in turn also be reminded by my dear brothers and sisters. May the words I speak not be condemning, Lord, as we live and die together for Your kingdom sake. For I am Your ambassador, my King, who if in chains, I pray I would still speak boldly, as I ought to speak. In Jesus name and for His glory, amen.
2 Peter 1:12‭-‬13/Romans 1:11‭-‬12/2 Corinthians 7:3/Ephesians 6:20 NASB

🌹For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 1:6

For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.
Philippians 1:6 NASB

God who is faithful, the good work You have begun in me You will also confirm to the end, considering me blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. You have called me into fellowship with Your Son, Jesus Christ my Lord.
Therefore having received Christ Jesus the Lord, I will walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in my faith, just as I was instructed through Your Holy Word, and overflowing with gratitude.
Lord cause me to increase and abound in love for Your people, and for all people; so that You may establish my heart without blame in holiness before You, God and Father, at the coming of Your Son Jesus with all His saints. Hallelujah and amen.
1 Corinthians 1:8‭-‬9/Colossians 2:6‭-‬7/    1 Thessalonians 3:12‭-‬13 NASB

🌹 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass.

Philippians 1:3-5

I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always offering prayer with joy in my every prayer for you all, in view of your participation in the gospel from the first day until now.
Philippians 1:3‭-‬5 NASB

🌹First, I thank You, God through Jesus Christ, for the privilege to pray for my brothers and sisters whose faith is being proclaimed throughout the whole world. Burden my heart and may I not neglect to pray unceasingly for all Christians that we would serve You, God, in our spirit and in the proclamation of the gospel of Jesus, Your Son. I join them because of Your sacrifice for me Jesus, my Savior. Amen.

Philippians 1:1-2

Paul and Timothy, bond-servants of Christ Jesus, To all the saints (holy ones, i.e., God’s people) in Christ Jesus who are in Philippi* (a leading city of the district of Macedonia, a Roman colony) including the overseers and deacons: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Philippians 1:1‭-‬2 NASB

🌹As a holy one in You, Christ Jesus, I seek Your favor, not that of mankind, as Your bond-servant. I pray Lord God for Your called overseers who shepherd Your church which was purchased with Your own blood. I pray for Your called deacons who care for the members of Your body.
But God, being rich in mercy, because of Your great love with which You loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, You made us alive together with Christ. By grace we have been saved, and raised up with You, and seated us with You in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the ages to come You might show the surpassing riches of Your grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace we have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is a wonderful gift of You, God; not as a result of works, so that we may not boast. Lord, lift up Your countenance upon us, And give us peace.’ Amen

Power of Prayer

They forgot God their Savior, Who had done great things in Egypt, Wonders in the land of Ham And awesome things by the Red Sea. Therefore He said that He would destroy them, Had not Moses His chosen one stood in the breach before Him, To turn away His wrath from destroying them.
Psalms 106:21‭-‬23 NASB

See Exodus 32:11-14 and Deuteronomy 9:25-29

🌹On account of Your great name Lord God, because you have been pleased to make make us Your people, You will not abandon us. For this we are forever grateful to You.
Lord, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against You by ceasing to pray for Your people. Burden my heart to pray that they be instructed in the good and right way.
Lord, I fear and serve You in truth with all my heart for I consider what great things You have done for me. Keep me from doing wicked things so I will not be swept away. All to Your glory Lord God. Amen.
