From Darkness to Light

It is He who reveals the profound and hidden things; He knows what is in the darkness, And the light dwells with Him.
Daniel 2:22 NASB

He reveals mysteries from the darkness And brings the deep darkness into light.
Job 12:22 NASB

‘Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’
Jeremiah 33:3 NASB

🌹Let Jesus Christ bring light to your darkness. Call out to Him.

Heed the Word of the Lord

O generation, heed the word of the Lord. Have I been a wilderness to Israel, Or a land of thick darkness? Why do My people say, ‘We are free to roam; We will no longer come to You’?
Jeremiah 2:31 NASB

God is a God of justice. Holy. Perfect. He is also a God of love for His people. He wants the best for us. Loving and walking with Him according to His Holy Word in the light of His countenance.

The words, “We are free to roam; We will no longer come to You” breaks my heart. The compassion of God being rejected by the ones He loves. Rejected by the very ones He wants to experience His awesomeness, His abounding love, His contentment, His peace, His joy, and so on.

🌹For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.
Jeremiah 29:11‭-‬13 NASB

Gospel Feet

Keep your feet from being unshod (uncovered) And your throat from thirst; But you said, ‘It is hopeless! No! For I have loved strangers, And after them I will walk.’
Jeremiah 2:25 NASB

But they will say, ‘It’s hopeless! For we are going to follow our own plans, and each of us will act according to the stubbornness of his evil heart.’
Jeremiah 18:12 NASB

Seeking our own way, our own truth, our own life leads us away from the real way, truth and life, Jesus Christ – leading to everlasting destruction.

Thus says the Lord to this people, “Even so they have loved to wander; they have not kept their feet in check. Therefore the Lord does not accept them; now He will remember their iniquity and call their sins to account.”
Jeremiah 14:10 NASB

Keep your feet in check. Cover them with the preparation of the gospel. For your sake, your salvation. Then move those feet, covered with the gospel, everywhere God leads to proclaim Jesus – the way, the truth, and the life – for the salvation of others.

🌹and having shod (covered) your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Ephesians 6:15 NASB

How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news of good things!”
Romans 10:15 NASB

Let God Be Magnified

Let all who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; And let those who love Your salvation say continually, “Let God be magnified.”
Psalms 70:4 NASB

Can I not help but to be glad and rejoice in the One I seek? He said, “You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.
Jeremiah 29:13 NASB

I enjoyed this weekend playing “Hide and Seek” with my granddaughters. As much as they enjoyed hiding from me, when I found them there was much rejoicing and laughter. God does not hide from us when we seek Him. And when we find Him, there is much rejoicing.

Thank you God for the salvation that only comes through You, Jesus. Thank you for saving Your seekers. Magnify Yourself in us so others may find and rejoice in You also.

🌹I say, “O, God be magnified!”

Righteous Rain

Woe to them, for they have strayed from Me! Destruction is theirs, for they have rebelled against Me! I would redeem them, but they speak lies against Me.
Hosea 7:13 NASB

Thus says the Lord to this people, “Even so they have loved to wander; they have not kept their feet in check. Therefore the Lord does not accept them; now He will remember their iniquity and call their sins to account.”
Jeremiah 14:10 NASB

God’s people. Rebelling. Turning away from His way. Seeking our own way. God’s grace doesn’t mean we can live our lives opposite, contrary to His way. God wants a repentant and seeking heart.
Look around you. Are we living in the wake of our rebellion?

You have plowed wickedness, you have reaped injustice, You have eaten the fruit of lies. Because you have trusted in your way, in your numerous warriors,
Hosea 10:13 NASB

🌹Sow with a view to righteousness, Reap in accordance with kindness; Break up your fallow ground, For it is time to seek the Lord Until He comes to rain righteousness on you.
Hosea 10:12‭ NASB

Abandoned?

And those who know Your name will put their trust in You, For You, O Lord, have not forsaken (abandoned) those who seek You.
Psalms 9:10 NASB

Jesus said, “and I have made Your name known to them, and will make it known, so that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”
John 17:26 NASB

You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.
Jeremiah 29:13 NASB

Let all who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; Let those who love Your salvation say continually, “The Lord be magnified!”
Psalms 40:16 NASB, Psalms 70:4 NASB

🌹 Seek the Lord and His strength; Seek His face continually.
Psalms 105:4 NASB

Are You Ready?

“Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done.
Revelation 22:12 NASB

“I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, Even to give to each man according to his ways, According to the results of his deeds.
Jeremiah 17:10 NASB

For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and will then repay every man according to his deeds.
Matthew 16:27 NASB

Prayer Connection

Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.
Jeremiah 29:12

And when they had prayed, the place where they had gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God with boldness.
Acts 4:31

What is the connection between prayer and the movement of the Holy Spirit?

Without God we are unable to accomplish His work, will, plan. Without Him we are unable to bring glory to His name. Without Him we are nothing.

Prayer in the Holy Spirit connects us to the One Holy God. In Him we are transformed into the image of Christ. In Him we are revived. In Him we are taught, guided, empowered so that we can speak the word of God, share the gospel, with boldness.

Love Enabled

And a lawyer stood up and put Him to the test, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” And He said to him, “What is written in the Law? How does it read to you?”  And he answered, “you shall love the  Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.” And He said to him, “You have answered correctly; do this and you will live.” Luke 10:25‭-‬28 NASB

Sounds easy. Does it? Is it?

“Love with all your heart.”

“The heart is more deceitful than all else And is desperately sick; Who can understand it? Jeremiah 17:9 NASB

Without the manifestation of the Holy Spirit in us, we are not capable to love the Lord with all our heart.

“Love the Lord with all your soul.”

The soul. The inner, spiritual part of us. We are not able to love with all our soul unless our soul is in communion with the soul of God Himself.

Moreover, I will make My dwelling among you, and My soul will not reject you. Leviticus 26:11 NASB

“Love the Lord with all your mind.”

But their minds were hardened; for until this very day at the reading of the old covenant the same veil remains unlifted, because it is removed in Christ. 2 Corinthians 3:14 NASB

Without Christ in us we are blind and unable to love God with all our mind.

“The Lord is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation; This is my God, and I will praise Him; My father’s God, and I will extol Him. Exodus 15:2 NASB

We are weak without the Lord. He is our strength.

So how can we love the Lord with all our heart, soul, mind and strenghth?

We need to know Him. Not of Him, but personally know Him.

How? Seek Him.

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7 NASB

But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.  Matthew 6:33 NASB

Seek the Lord and His strength; Seek His face continually. Psalms 105:4 NASB

Seeking God, you will find Him because He is love. His love, who He is, enables us to love Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength.

The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 1 John 4:8 NASB

Is

“Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of hosts.”
Zechariah 4:6b NASB

“But by My Spirit”

“Woe to the rebellious children,” declares the Lord, “Who execute a plan, but not Mine, And make an alliance, but not of My Spirit, In order to add sin to sin;”
Isaiah 30:1 NASB

“but not of My Spirit,”

“Thus says the Lord, “Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind And makes flesh his strength, And whose heart turns away from the Lord.”
Jeremiah 17:5 NASB

We make plans. We put our trust in alliances that are not of God. We trust in our own intellect, our own weak strengths. But did not God give us His Spirit to teach, guide, protect, strengthen by His power and might? Our hearts are turned away when we trust in anything or anyone other than the Lord Himself.

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord And whose trust is the Lord.”
Jeremiah 17:7 NASB

Not only trusting IN Him but whose trust IS Him.
