God is My Good

When my heart was embittered And I was pierced within, Then I was senseless and ignorant; I was like a beast before You. Nevertheless I am continually with You; You have taken hold of my right hand. With Your counsel You will guide me, And afterward receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but You? And besides You, I desire nothing on earth. My flesh and my heart may fail, But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. For, behold, those who are far from You will perish; You have destroyed all those who are unfaithful to You. But as for me, the nearness of God is my good; I have made the Lord God my refuge, That I may tell of all Your works.
Psalms 73:21‭-‬28 NASB

🌹 But as for me, the nearness of God is my good; I have made the Lord God my refuge, That I may tell of all Your works.

Reconnecting Day 5

As I was praying this morning, this verse came to me:
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my rock and my Redeemer.
Psalms 19:14 NASB

My desire is to live, or at least try my best to live up to the standard of my Lord and be pleasing in His sight. Filling my heart with the word of God daily so I can meditate on it all day. The word that will control my thoughts and the words of my mouth all to the glory of God!

Other verses I referenced:

Let my meditation be pleasing to Him; As for me, I shall be glad in the Lord.
Psalms 104:34 NASB

I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart; I will tell of all Your wonders. I will be glad and exult in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.
Psalms 9:1‭-‬2 NASB

My lips will shout for joy when I sing praises to You; And my soul, which You have redeemed.
Psalms 71:23 NASB

🌹The Word can guide your disposition. It does mine.

If

At one moment I might speak concerning a nation or concerning a kingdom to uproot, to pull down, or to destroy it; if that nation against which I have spoken turns from its evil, I will relent concerning the calamity I planned to bring on it.
Or at another moment I might speak concerning a nation or concerning a kingdom to build up or to plant it; if it does evil in My sight by not obeying My voice, then I will think better of the good with which I had promised to bless it.
For My people have forgotten Me, They burn incense to worthless gods And they have stumbled from their ways, From the ancient paths, To walk in bypaths, Not on a highway,
Jeremiah 18:7‭-‬10‭, ‬15 NASB

If you do not listen, and if you do not take it to heart to give honor to My name,” says the Lord of hosts, “then I will send the curse upon you and I will curse your blessings; and indeed, I have cursed them already, because you are not taking it to heart.
Malachi 2:2 NASB

If you turn from evil . . . God says, “I will relent”.

🌹For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord gives grace and glory; No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly. O Lord of hosts, How blessed is the man who trusts in You!
Psalms 84:11‭-‬12 NASB

The Humble Are Heard

When he was in distress, he entreated (asked earnestly) the Lord his God and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers. When he prayed to Him, He was moved by his entreaty and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem to his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the Lord was God.
2 Chronicles 33:12‭-‬13 NASB

Who do you seek out when you are in distress? Does God come to mind instantly or is He an afterthought? A last resort?
Is God moved by your prayers?
When praying we must humble ourselves before the Almighty, Holy, Sovereign God. He will hear. He will answer.

🌹O Lord, You have heard the desire of the humble; You will strengthen their heart, You will incline Your ear
Psalms 10:17 NASB

Wise and Discerning

O Ephraim, what more have I to do with idols? It is I who answer and look after you. I am like a luxuriant cypress; From Me comes your fruit. Whoever is wise, let him understand these things; Whoever is discerning, let him know them. For the ways of the Lord are right, And the righteous will walk in them, But transgressors will stumble in them.
Hosea 14:8‭-‬9 NASB

🌹🙏 The works of Your hands are truth and justice; All Your precepts are sure. They are upheld forever and ever; They are performed in truth and uprightness.
The way of the righteous is smooth; O Upright One, make the path of the righteous level.
Psalms 111:7‭-‬8 NASB/Isaiah 26:7 NASB

In Jesus name and for His glory amen.

Week of Prayer Day 3

Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have relieved me in my distress; Be gracious to me and hear my prayer.
O sons of men, how long will my honor become a reproach? How long will you love what is worthless and aim at deception? Selah.
But know that the Lord has set apart the godly man for Himself; The Lord hears when I call to Him.
Tremble, and do not sin; Meditate in your heart upon your bed, and be still.        Selah.
Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, And trust in the Lord. Many are saying, “Who will show us any good?”
Lift up the light of Your countenance upon us, O Lord! You have put gladness in my heart, More than when their grain and new wine abound. In peace I will both lie down and sleep, For You alone, O Lord, make me to dwell in safety.
Psalms 4:1‭-‬8 NASB

🌹Thank You, God. Amen.

The Way

How precious also are Your thoughts to me, God! How vast is the sum of them!
Psalms 139:17‭

How precious are Your thoughts to me?! To have the mind of Christ. To know all the ways and thoughts of God. How vast the sum of them! I cannot comprehend.

Search me, God, and know my heart; Put me to the test and know my anxious thoughts;  And see if there is any hurtful way in me, And lead me in the everlasting way.
Psalms 139:23‭-‬24 NASB

🌹Jesus *said to him, “I am the way, . . .
John 14:6a NASB

Because You Love Me

“Because he has loved Me, I will save him; I will set him securely on high, because he has known My name.
He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him.
I will satisfy him with a long life, And show him My salvation.”
Psalms 91:14‭-‬16 NASB

O the blessings of loving God and knowing Him.
Knowing Him as Listener.
Knowing Him as Security.
Knowing Him as Rescuer, Deliverer.
Knowing Him as Savior.
Knowing Him as Life.
He will answer our call. He is with us when we face trouble. He is our rescuer. He is our salvation.

🌹Are you loving God?

Steadfast Strength

I will bless the Lord who has advised me;Indeed, my mind instructs me in the night.
I have set the Lord continually before me; Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
Psalms 16:7‭-‬8 NASB

Isaiah 41:10 NASB

Seek the Lord and His strength; Seek His face continually.
Psalms 105:4 NASB

Psalms 27:8 NASB
Nevertheless I am continually with You; You have taken hold of my right hand.
Psalms 73:23 NASB

THANK YOU, LORD GOD!!

No Greater Relationship

I said to the Lord , “You are my Lord; I have nothing good besides You.”  Psalm 16:2

More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them mere rubbish, so that I may gain Christ,
Philippians 3:8 NASB

Nothing better than a personal, intimate love relationship with Jesus Christ! He is all we need.

🌹 Is Jesus your everything?
