Glad Heart

For You will not abandon my soul to Sheol; You will not allow Your Holy One to undergo decay.
You will make known to me the way of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.
Psalms 16:9-11

🌹God of all creation, in You my flesh dwells securely. I have set You continually before me and my heart is glad and rejoices in Your glory. You are my Salvation.

Friend Of Jesus

You are My friends if you do what I command you.
John 15:14 NASB

“This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you”.
John 15:12 NASB

Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.
John 15:13 NASB

Have you experienced the love of God? His love for you is so great that He, Jesus, left the glory of heaven, emptied Himself by becoming a bond-servant. He humbled Himself by allowing the world He created to nail Him to a cross where He died. His human body beaten. Spit on and despised by the very creation He created. Even in this victory over death many are still trying to nail Him to the cross.

He laid down His life so that we could experience sweet fellowship with Him. That abundant love and fellowship we experience with Jesus is to overflow to others. Just like Jesus. He commands it.

🌹Are you a friend of Jesus?

In Whose Hand is Life

that they (all mankind) would seek God, if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; for in Him we live and move and exist, as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His children.’
Acts 17:27‭-‬28 NASB

In whose hand is the life of every living thing, And the breath of all mankind?
Job 12:10 NASB

For what great nation is there that has a god so near to it as is the Lord our God whenever we call on Him?
Deuteronomy 4:7 NASB

Therefore having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring to men that all people everywhere should repent, because He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising Him from the dead.”
Acts 17:30‭-‬31 NASB

🌹 Call upon the Lord God with a repentant heart. Seek His face. In Him is life.

Where is Your Treasure?

It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.
John 6:63 NASB

“For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?Matthew 6:25 NASB

Where is your focus?

The Spirit is life. Walking in God is life. Seeking God is life. Loving God is life. All the cares of this world will one day mean absolutely nothing. What will matter are the things eternal.

But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
Matthew 6:33 NASB

🌹 Again. Where is Your focus?

for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Matthew 6:21 NASB

The Answer

He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood and has not sworn deceitfully. — Psalm 24:4

The answer to verse 3 question, who may . . . Without Jesus we are not able to have clean hands and a pure heart. Let us lift our souls to Jesus who is the truth. There is no falsehood in Him. He is the way. He is life.

Jesus, our example did not swear deceitfully. Jesus is the answer.

You shall not swear falsely by My name, so as to profane the name of your God; I am the Lord. — Leviticus 19:12

But above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath; but your yes is to be yes, and your no, no, so that you may not fall under judgment. — James 5:12

God’s Love

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And not only this, but we also exult in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation. — Romans 5:8-11

Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. — Hebrews 7:25

Justified (to declare innocent or guiltless; absolve; acquit) by Jesus’ shed blood.

Saved from the wrath of God through Jesus. No one but Jesus.

Reconciled (to reconsecrate, to restore) by Jesus’ death.

Saved by Jesus’ resurrection.

Draw near to the One who made salvation, reconciliation and justification possible. He is the only way!

The God Who

The God who made the world and all things in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands; nor is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything, since He Himself gives to all people life and breath and all things; and He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation, that they would seek God, if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; for in Him we live and move and exist, as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His children.’ — Acts 17:24-28

The God who …
Made the world and all that is in it.
Is Lord of heaven and earth.
Needs nothing.
Gives.
Is our life and breathe.
Knows our life.
Sets boundaries (giving security and direction)
Is near.

Why? Because that is who God is. So seek Him now for in Him we live, move and exist as His children.

Jesus Is

Now for several days he was with the disciples who were at Damascus, and immediately he began to proclaim Jesus in the synagogues, saying, “He is the Son of God.” All those hearing him continued to be amazed, and were saying, “Is this not he who in Jerusalem destroyed those who called on this name, and who had come here for the purpose of bringing them bound before the chief priests?” But Saul kept increasing in strength and confounding the Jews who lived at Damascus by proving that this Jesus is the Christ. — Acts 9:19-22

The power of Christ in us. He can transform anyone. No one is beyond His power to transform. No sin is beyond His power or compassion to forgive. Simply by humbly confessing Jesus Christ as the Son of God and admitting that it is really only Him who can give forgiveness and life.

Won’t you allow Jesus into your life and let Him transform you? You’ll never regret it.

Continually seeking Him,

Sharon
