Pressure

The Lord said, “I have surely seen the affliction of My people who are in Egypt, and have given heed to their cry because of their taskmasters, for I am aware of their sufferings. So I have come down to deliver them from the power of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and spacious land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanite and the Hittite and the Amorite and the Perizzite and the Hivite and the Jebusite. Now, behold, the cry of the sons of Israel has come to Me; furthermore, I have seen the oppression with which the Egyptians are oppressing them.

The Lord God sees you, hears you, knows the sufferings you face from the pressures of life. Just as God sent Moses to lead the Israelites out of Egypt to a promised land; the Father sent His Son, Jesus, to lead mankind through the pressures of life to the promised land of eternity abiding with Him.

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

God made a way for you to be released from the pressures of your affliction – sin. Jesus. Jesus will lead a surrendered heart out of the pressure of sin and release you from bondage by following His lead. There is one way only for the pressure release — follow the
Leader — Jesus.

What does that mean?
Surrender your life to Jesus –> His way. His plan. His will.

Our need here is to follow a faithful, trustworthy leader.

The Christmas Gift

Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through Him forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you, and through Him everyone who believes is freed from all things, from which you could not be freed through the Law of Moses. — Acts 13:38-39

Free. What a wonderful word for this season. Amazing that Christmas time is so filled with”hustle and bustle”, stress, over indulging, lack of sleep, “bah humbug” and the like. Could it be we have turned Christmas into something it isn’t?

Christmas. What a wonderful word. Christ fulfilled. Salvation. Forgiveness. Hope. Love. Joy. Peace. Freedom. Good News!

Come let us adore Him!!! Celebrate the real Christmas. Christ Himself.

Your Confidece

Therefore, do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised. — Hebrews 10:35-36

Life changes. Your routine, well managed life is turned upside down. New events challenge your routine. The hours of your day seem to have gotten shorter, demands on your time come from all directions and your peaceful, close encounter life with Christ seems to be fading in the stress of this overwhelming turn of events.

Do you ever miss Jesus? Is your relationship with Him so close that when you start drifting away you miss Him and yearn for His presence?

No matter what happens in life “do not throw away your confidence”. Our confidence is found through the blood of Jesus allowing us entrance to the holy place*. We need that holy time with Jesus. It has a great reward. We need endurance to fulfill the will of God. That endurance comes from our time in the holy place with Jesus. For by our endurance we will gain our lives^. Jesus is our life and without Him our lives are filled with disappointment, weakness, lack of confidence and stress.

Don’t throw away your confidence to approach the throne of God. For therein lies God’s promises.

* Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, — Hebrews 10:19
^ By your endurance you will gain your lives. — Luke 21:19

Childlike Trust

Childlike Trust in the Lord.
A Song of Ascents, of David.

O Lord, my heart is not proud, nor my eyes haughty;
Nor do I involve myself in great matters,
Or in things too difficult for me.
2 Surely I have composed and quieted my soul;
Like a weaned child rests against his mother,
My soul is like a weaned child within me.
3 O Israel, hope in the Lord
From this time forth and forever. — Psalm 131

Childlike faith leaves no room for worry, no room for stress from responsibility or “too much on my plate”, or insecurity. My Father has it all under control. I can trust that He wants the best for me and will supply all my needs. And . . . if I would just get out of His way and let Him lead, I would be so much more secure in my life. As David pleads with Israel to hope in the Lord, I believe the Lord wants us to hope in Him from this time forth and forever. It is so worth it.

Rejoicing?

For our heart rejoices in Him, Because we trust in His holy name. — Psalm 33:21

Having trouble rejoicing in the Lord? Could it be a lack of trust in Him? Or maybe it’s because we just don’t take everything to Him and then trust that He loves and cares for us to help us with everything we take to Him.

What is it that is frustrating you right now? What is it that is stressing you out right now? What is it that is consuming all your thoughts, movements, emotions, time?

Go to the Lord, seek His face. Tell Him everything. Then . . . Let it go. Trust Him to see you through — giving the strength, direction, wisdom, whatever it takes to be victorious for His glory!

So let your heart rejoice in Him because you trust in His holy name.

Continually seeking Him,
