¹God is righteous! Seeking righteousness is seeking God the righteous One.

30. Revive Me

I remember the days of old; I meditate on all Your doings; I muse on the work of Your hands.
I stretch out my hands to You; My soul longs for You, as a parched land. Selah.

At times it is good to look back at the milestones of your life. To see where God had you. The times when He blessed you, strengthened you, protected you, used you . . . A wonderful reminder of our need for God. Arms stretched out in longing surrender to the One who revives, protects, teaches, sanctifies.

For the sake of Your name, O Lord, revive me. In Your righteousness bring my soul out of trouble.

Has Your Thirst Been Quenched?

The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take the water of life without cost. Revelation‬ ‭22:17‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/rev.22.17.NASB1995

but whoever drinks of the water that I (Jesus) will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.”
John‬ ‭4:14‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/jhn.4.14.NASB1995

‭‭Then He said to me, “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost.
Revelation‬ ‭21:6‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/100/rev.21.6.NASB1995

Are you thirsty? Only God can quench the thirst of a seeking soul. Have you accepted this cup by faith? Come. The Spirit is calling you today. Don’t wait, because one day God will say, “It is done.”.
‭‭
🌹He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will grant to eat of the tree of life which is in the Paradise of God.’

Prayer

O God, You are my God; I shall seek You earnestly; My soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You, In a dry and weary land where there is no water.
Psalms 63:1 NASB

Abundant Mercy

“Ho! Every one who thirsts, come to the waters;
Isaiah 55:1a NASB

“Incline your ear and come to Me. Listen, that you may live; And I will make an everlasting covenant with you, According to the faithful mercies shown to David.
Isaiah 55:3 NASB

Seek the Lord while He may be found; Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way And the unrighteous man his thoughts; And let him return to the Lord, And He will have compassion on him, And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.
Isaiah 55:6‭-‬7 NASB

God of abundance. Abundant mercy to still be reaching down, calling our hearts back to Him. Abundant mercy He desires to pour out on His children.

Now is the time to seek the Lord, while He may be found. Today may be the day when time runs out for you. Don’t delay. Come experience God’s abundant love, grace and mercy.

🌹 Praise God for His abundant mercy. Who do you know that needs to hear?

Feast on Jesus

“Your words were found and I ate them, And Your words became for me a joy and the delight of my heart; For I have been called by Your name, O Lord God of hosts.”
Jeremiah 15:16 NASB

Jesus is the word made flesh.

And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14 NASB

Jesus is the bread of life.

Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will not hunger, and he who believes in Me will never thirst. John 6:35 NASB

God calls us to grace and mercy found and granted by Him alone. Called unto salvation. Called to a loving relationship with Him. Called to obedience that exudes out of our love for Him.

Are you missing the joy and delight of the Lord? If so, could it be that you are starving yourself?

He said to me, “Son of man, feed your stomach and fill your body with this scroll which I am giving you.” Then I ate it, and it was sweet as honey in my mouth. Ezekiel 3:3 NASB

The word of God is important to our spiritual health. Without the word to nourish our souls we are walking a misdirected path in weakness and Ill health. Just as our physical bodies need nourishment so does our spiritual bodies.

Let us not neglect the importance of God’s word. Feed in it daily. Chew on it throughout the day.

God’s word keeps us on the straight and narrow.

“I have not departed from the command of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my necessary food.
Job 23:12 NASB

“How sweet are Your words to my taste! Yes, sweeter than honey to my mouth!” Psalms 119:103 NASB

Feast on His word everyday. Not only will they be sweet to the soul but you will get to know just how sweet our Lord is.

🌹 “O taste and see that the Lord is good;” Psalm 34:8

Narrow Door

“Strive to enter through the narrow door; for many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able. — Luke 13:24

Many believe they are Christians and yet do not know the Lord God at all. Christianity doesn’t just come naturally. It is something we need to seek, strive for. Ask God to give you a yearning for His word, a thirst for Him — to know Him more intimately everyday. The road is narrow and so is the door. Seek while He can be found before the door is forever closed because we are not ready when the Bridegroom returns.

Continually seeking Him,

Sharon

Please read the rest of Luke 13. Be ready and know Him intimately. It is worth the striving.

Living Water

. . . “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’” — John 7:37-38

. . . They have forsaken Me, The fountain of living waters, . . . — Jeremiah 2:13

Some of the sadest words in the Bible are “They have forsaken Me..”. When I think of our Creator who made us in His image looks upon us with love and we forsake Him, it hurts my heart. We ignore Him, put others and things before Him, disregard His word, and are not thankful for all He has given us. One of those things He has given is living water.

God gives every person an internal thirst for Him. We try to satisfy that thirst with other things – the list is endless – and the thirst is endless unless it is satisfied by the One who put the thirst there. Jesus is the fountain of living water and He freely gives to those who seek Him. The great thing is that the water is ever flowing. This water satisfies our thirst as we continuously seek the fountain. As we drink of it the flow of living water is so abundant that it overflows to everyone around us. The Living Water touches others through us as we seek Him.

Make a difference in your life and those around you by drinking the living water.

Continually seeking Him,

Sharon
