Hope and Faith

Now we know that whatever the Law says, it speaks to those who are under the Law, so that every mouth may be closed and all the world may become accountable to God; because by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes the knowledge of sin.
Romans‬ ‭3:19‭-‬20‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

God gave the law to make us aware that we are sinners. No one person can keep the law for we are sinners by nature. Awareness of our inability to keep the law opens our eyes to the need we have for salvation, found only in Jesus. We must come before God and repent, confess our sin and turn to God in faith. God is where our hope is found.

Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why have you become disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God.                            Psalms‬ ‭42:11‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

Repent. Believe. Follow.

🌹And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. Hebrews‬ ‭11:6‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

Redeemer

As for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, And at the last He will take His stand on the earth.
Job 19:25 NASB

Most High God, my Redeemer, I acknowledge that You are my rock. Even now, Jesus is my witness who is in heaven, and my advocate on high. You are my strong Redeemer who will vigorously plead my case against those who try to rob my soul. I have bore Your indignation because I have sinned against You. Thank You, Jesus, for pleading my case before the Father and executing justice for me. You have brought me out to the light to  see Your righteousness. My heart faints within me longing for the day when I myself shall behold, And my eyes will see my Redeemer take His stand on the earth. To You, Lord God, be the glory as I pray in the name of Jesus, my Redeemer. Amen.

Do You Know?

Thus says the Lord, “Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches; but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord who exercises lovingkindness, justice and righteousness on earth; for I delight in these things,” declares the Lord. “Behold, the days are coming,” declares the Lord, “that I will punish all who are circumcised and yet uncircumcised—
Jeremiah 9:23‭-‬25 NASB

Circumcised in the flesh yet uncircumcised in the heart, in the spirit. Outwardly professing Christianity but inwardly living like the world.
Do you know that you know that you know?

🌹”but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord who exercises lovingkindness, justice and righteousness on earth;”

Wise and Discerning

O Ephraim, what more have I to do with idols? It is I who answer and look after you. I am like a luxuriant cypress; From Me comes your fruit. Whoever is wise, let him understand these things; Whoever is discerning, let him know them. For the ways of the Lord are right, And the righteous will walk in them, But transgressors will stumble in them.
Hosea 14:8‭-‬9 NASB

🌹🙏 The works of Your hands are truth and justice; All Your precepts are sure. They are upheld forever and ever; They are performed in truth and uprightness.
The way of the righteous is smooth; O Upright One, make the path of the righteous level.
Psalms 111:7‭-‬8 NASB/Isaiah 26:7 NASB

In Jesus name and for His glory amen.

Gladness of Heart

Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; Lovingkindness and truth go before You.
How blessed are the people who know the joyful sound! O Lord, they walk in the light of Your countenance.
In Your name they rejoice all the day, And by Your righteousness they are exalted.
For You are the glory of their strength, And by Your favor our horn is exalted.
Psalms 89:14‭-‬17 NASB

Are you walking on the solid foundation of God’s righteousnes and justice, enjoying His lovingkindness and truth resonating in and through you?
Our walk with Almighty God is not for “a moment”. A moment of our need. A moment when we are suffering or in despair. Our walk with God is for all the moments, momentS that continue into eternity.
God, how blessed are we who walk in the light of Your countenance and rejoice in Your name ALL day long. It is by Your righteousness alone that we are exalted, for we have no righteousness of our own. You, Lord God, are the glory of our strength. By Your favor we are filled with joy that overflows to others.

🌹With trumpets and the sound of the horn Shout joyfully before the King, the Lord.
Psalms 98:6 NASB

Glory in His holy name; Let the heart of those who seek the Lord be glad.
Psalms 105:3 NASB

My Compassion
My Holiness
My Righteousness
My Inspiration

My Truth

None of these do I possess but by Your love and righteousness.

Therefore Jesus answered and was saying to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in like manner.
John 5:19 NASB

John 15:5 NASB

If this man were not from God, He could do nothing.”

70 Years!?

The inhabited cities will be laid waste and the land will be a desolation. So you will know that I am the Lord.
Ezekiel 12:20

Recently I’ve heard, “I am so tired of this Covid thing” or, “I am so over this, I am ready to go back to normal”.

What is normal? Living life for me, me, me?

God has a plan. He had a plan for Israel when they went into captivity in Egypt for 70 years. He had a plan when He sent them again into captivity in Babylon under the rule of Nebuchadnezzar.

What is God’s plan? “So you will know that I am the Lord”.

Contentment can be found in nothing less than Almighty God. Contentment can be found during desolation and captivity when our hearts belong to Him. Our focus is on God.

“All the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing, But He does according to His will in the host of heaven And among the inhabitants of earth; And no one can ward off His hand Or say to Him, ‘What have You done?’
Daniel 4:35‭ NASB

Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise, exalt and honor the King of heaven, for all His works are true and His ways just, and He is able to humble those who walk in pride.”
Daniel 4:37 NASB
(Nebuchadnezzar’s testimony is in Daniel 4. You might want to read it).

🌹Are you humbly focused on God and His will? If this Covid lifestyle should last 70 years you can be content in Him?

Continually Seeking Him,

Sharon
