As It Is Written

 as it is written,

“There is none righteous, not even one; — Romans 3:10

“There is no fear of God before their eyes.” — Romans 3:18

because by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes the knowledge of sin. — Romans 3:20

Take a good look at the ten commandments written in Exodus 20. Have you ever broken any of those commandments? That is God’s standard.

Thank God for His Law that makes us aware that we are unable to meet His standard, revealing that we are sinners. Without the realization of a problem we won’t seek to resolve the problem. Sin is a problem that all flesh is faced with.

Wrath

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. — Romans 1:18-19

God makes Himself noticeable to His creation. He gives us such mercy and grace in searching for Him. He is not hidden from the one who seeks. Seek Him today to avoid the wrath that will come to the ungodly and unrighteous. The wrath to prevail on the one who withholds the truth.

Ashamed

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, — Romans 1:16a

Ashamed: unwilling or restrained because of fear of shame, ridicule, or disapproval*

Our shame was nailed to the cross, Christian. Are we really grateful for Jesus’ sacrifice for us? He experienced shame, ridicule and disapproval for us and the result is our righteousness (to those who believe). Who around you needs to experience that righteousness?

Let us not be ashamed.

Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord or of me His prisoner, but join with me in suffering for the gospel according to the power of God, who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was granted us in Christ Jesus from all eternity, — 2 Timothy 1:8-9;

And He summoned the crowd with His disciples, and said to them, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. 35 For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it. 36 For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul? 37 For what will a man give in exchange for his soul? 38 For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.” — Mark 8:34-38

Jesus Is Coming

Therefore having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring to men that all people everywhere should repent, because He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising Him from the dead.” — Acts 17:30-31

Are you ready to receive the King of kings? He came once to bring salvation and redemption. The time is now to repent. When Jesus returns it will be for judgment. Do you know Jesus? He is the righteousness by which you will judged. Know Him and be saved from eternal condemnation.

Christians can truly rejoice at Christmas time knowing Jesus is the Christ. Christians can continue to rejoice because of the righteousness poured out on them by the blood of Jesus. Christians rejoice knowing that Jesus is coming again. O glorious day!

Are you ready?

Welcome

Opening his mouth, Peter said:

“I most certainly understand now that God is not one to show partiality, but in every nation the man who fears Him and does what is right is welcome to Him. — Acts 10:34-35

To every nation

Fear (Reverence) God
Do what is right (Work righteousness)
You are welcome.

No matter who you are. No matter where you come from. No matter your social status. No matter your past. No matter anything. God shows no partiality. Are you ready?

Well, come. Welcome.

Skipping Calves

“But for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings; and you will go forth and skip about like calves from the stall. — Malachi 4:2

I hope you had time to meditate over yesterday’s devotion. It really is a great gift our Lord God has given us to be forgiven AND to have our sin Covered. And then today to look upon the one who can do that. Can you help but fear or reverence His name? Loss of sin, healing begin. It is enough to make me “go forth and skip about like calves from the stall”. I hope you really experience the happiness that come from a heart forgiven, a life healed and a reverent relationship with THE NAME above all names.

Promise: Mercy and Righteousness

But the lovingkindness of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, And His righteousness to children’s children, — Psalm 103:17

What a great promise to cling to and remember. God’s lovingkindness (mercy) is forever. When we received His mercy through the cross it extended down through generation after generation to us and it will never end. It is hard to fathom the depth of this mercy we receive for all who reverence God.

And if His mercy weren’t enough but His righteousness is to thousands who love Him and keep His commandments. Passed on to children’s children. His righteousness will not go away. Our God is righteous and nothing can change that.

Share your righteous God who keeps His covenant and shows mercy from everlasting to everlasting to your children so they may pass it to their children who pass it to their children for a thousand generations. We are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. His righteousness is ever progressing.

Praise You, Lord God for your lovingkindess and righteousness! The promise that is everlasting.

Ambassador for Christ

God is love. — 1 John 4:8
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. — John 3:16
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. — Romans 5:8
Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; — 2 Corinthians 5:20a
He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.– 2 Corinthians 5:21

Jesus loves us despite the fact that we are sinners and even though we don’t deserve it, He fulfilled God’s purpose. Jesus demonstrated His love for us, put into action that love, when He died on the cross paying the debt for our sin. Jesus fulfilled God’s purpose of redemption for all of mankind. Jesus out of love for the Father obediently saved mankind from the sin of death and gave us eternal life.

So what is our purpose? To be ambassadors for Christ, the righteousness of God in Him. Just as Jesus, our example, we are to love others even though they are sinners and demonstrate God’s love to others even if we think they don’t deserve it. We are to live for Jesus, drawing so close to Him that we become like Him. And like Him we love, demonstrate love, and let Jesus use us to draw others to Him so that He may transform them into the righteousness of God, ambassadors for Christ!

God wants to use you for great things. Are you ready to be an Ambassador for Christ? Draw close to God and He will draw close to you. Then you are ready to be an ambassador. Continue to seek Him.

Faith Is The Victory

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world — our faith. — 1 John 5:4

What makes you different from every other person born of flesh and blood? All mankind is born of flesh and blood, born of the will of man. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. — John 1:12-13

Born of God. How is one born of God? To know Jesus Christ, that He is righteous. To know Him is to follow Him by practicing righteousness. To know that He died for us and rose to victory over death. To have a personal relationship with Him. That is what it means to know Him and know that He is righteous.

Being born of God makes us overcomers because Christ lives in us. He who lives in us is greater than he who is in the world. Jesus has wisdom greater than, power greater than, victory greater than he who is in the world. We are so blessed to have Jesus living in us. He is our victory! He is our righteousness! He is our overcomer!

It is by faith that we shall overcome. Faith in Jesus Christ. He is the VICTORY!!!!!

Continually seeking Him,

Sharon

If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone also who practices righteousness is born of Him. — 1 John 2:29

You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. — 1 John 4:4

Wonderful Devotional

Sharing an exceptional devotion from my good friend and brother in Christ. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Real Talk: Why be in love with Jesus and the Gospel?

This is what He did for those who have been changed by the Gospel and its power…

What Christ has attained for us through his death and resurrection are immeasurable. Through his cross-work Christ has provided reconciliation to God, forgiveness of sins, propitiation, the ability to live for God, eternal life, justification, inheritance in heaven, righteousness, healing, bodily resurrection, intercession for the weak, peace, freedom, unity among believers, an example, redemption, advocacy, deliverance from fear of death, hope, wisdom, regeneration, access to God’s presence, and all things. In short, Christ’s death has given us God. It is literally the difference between eternal anguish and destruction apart from God, and eternal life and happiness with God.

The work of Christ is therefore something to be cherished, valued, honored, studied, and proclaimed.

This is what He will do when He returns in glory…

Revelation 19:11-13New American Standard Bible (NASB)

The Coming of Christ

11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war. 12 His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many diadems; and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself. 13 He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.14 And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses. 15 From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the (God hating) nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty.

My Thoughts: His love is immeasurable, but so is His wrath to come…

Turn to Christ while you have a chance, turn from your sin, which is in hostile rebellion against a holy GOD.
