But food will not commend us to God; we are neither the worse if we do not eat, nor the better if we do eat. But take care that this liberty of yours does not somehow become a stumbling block to the weak. Therefore, if food causes my brother to stumble, I will never eat meat again, so that I will not cause my brother to stumble.
1 Corinthians 8:8-9, 13 NASB
Just because it’s okay doesn’t make it right.
🌹It is good not to eat meat or to drink wine, or to do anything by which your brother stumbles.

Eye Witness
“He who comes from above is above all, he who is of the earth is from the earth and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all.
John 3:31 NASB
Jesus came from heaven. Jesus is above all! You can deny this truth but one day you will know for sure that Jesus is above all. God, the Father, has given all authority to Jesus in heaven and on earth.
And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
Matthew 28:18 NASB
Are you an expert on heaven?
Are you and expert on God?
Jesus is. He is the Only one who has ever descended from heaven to also ascend to heaven.
No one has ascended into heaven, but He who descended from heaven: the Son of Man.
John 3:13 NASB
What He has seen and heard, of that He testifies; and no one receives His testimony.
John 3:32 NASB
Jesus speaks testifies to the truth of God the Father and heaven because He has seen and heard first hand. He did not need faith as we do. We simply need to believe and trust that Jesus is the Christ sent by the Father for our sake.
🌹And there is salvation in no one else (JesusChrist); for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”
Acts 4:12 NASB

Are You Sealed?
Nevertheless, the firm foundation of God stands, having this seal, “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Everyone who names the name of the Lord is to abstain from wickedness.”
2 Timothy 2:19 NASB
“The Lord knows those who are His.“
Aren’t those some beautiful words? As I was reading this yesterday those words just jumped off the page. I am known by the the good Shepherd! I am known by the Savior of the world! I am known by the King of kings. I am known by the Lord of lords. I am known by the Creator of all peoples and things. I am so blessed to know the God who knows me. He has revealed His great love for me and I shall love Him forever!
but if anyone loves God, he is known by Him.
1 Corinthians 8:3 NASB
Do you know the One who loves you like no other and knows you? I hope so. There is no better relationship you can have than knowing the one and only true, living God! Seek and you will find.
In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise,

A Trustworthy Statement
It is a trustworthy statement: For if we died with Him, we will also live with Him; If we endure, we will also reign with Him; If we deny Him, He also will deny us; If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.

Living or Dying?
I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants,
Deuteronomy 30:19 NASB
Life and blessing or death and curses. Does that seem to be an easy choice? If it were, why are so many choosing death and curses? Could it be self-centered pride? “I can do life myself.”
Let’s take a look at what life is:
by loving the Lord your God, by obeying His voice, and by holding fast to Him; for this is your life and the length of your days, that you may live in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.”
Deuteronomy 30:20 NASB
The promised land awaited the Israelites. The promised land awaits those today who humbly surrender to God’s eternal love, obedience to His Word, and holding fast to Him. This is life!
1. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.
Deuteronomy 6:5 NASB
2. All these blessings will come upon you and overtake you if you obey the Lord your God:
Deuteronomy 28:2 NASB
3. You shall fear the Lord your God; you shall serve Him and cling to Him, and you shall swear by His name.
Deuteronomy 10:20 NASB
🌹for in Him we live and move and exist, as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His children.’
