Remnant

And there will be a highway from Assyria For the remnant of His people who will be left, Just as there was for Israel In the day that they came up out of the land of Egypt.
Isaiah 11:16 NASB

A highway will be there, a roadway, And it will be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean will not travel on it, But it will be for him who walks that way, And fools will not wander on it.
Isaiah 35:8 NASB

Remnant: a remaining, usually small part, quantity, number, or the like.

🌹God always, by His grace and for His name sake, has a remnant of believers. The faithful. Will you be part of the remnant? Are you walking the Highway of Holiness?

Thus you are to be holy to Me, for I the Lord am holy; and I have set you apart from the peoples to be Mine.
Leviticus 20:26 NASB

Meditate

On the glorious splendor of Your majesty
And on Your wonderful works, I will meditate.
Psalms 145:5‭
All Your works shall give thanks to You, O Lord, And Your godly ones shall bless You.
They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom And talk of Your power;
To make known to the sons of men Your mighty acts
And the glory of the majesty of Your kingdom.
Psalms 145:10-‬12 NASB

Do you know the glorious splendor of the majesty of God and His wonderful works? Look around you

The heavens are telling of the glory of God; And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands.
Psalms 19:1 NASB
Look at your family. Look in the mirror.

Bless the Lord, all you works of His, In all places of His dominion; Bless the Lord, O my soul!
Psalms 103:22 NASB

I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well.
Psalms 139:14 NASB

O Lord, You are my God; I will exalt You, I will give thanks to Your name; For You have worked wonders, Plans formed long ago, with perfect faithfulness.
Isaiah 25:1 NASB

When you meditate (to engage in thought or contemplation; reflect) on God through His word, prayer, personal intimate relationship with Him you can see His glory in His creation: from the landscape to the heavens; the work He is doing in you and others.

🌹Choose today to slow down, meditate on God’s glorious splendor and begin to notice His glorious works. You will be thanking God, be a blessing to Him as you can’t help but speak of His glorious kingdom and power.  You’ll want to tell the world God’s mighty acts and the glory of the majesty of His kingdom.

Proclaim

One generation shall praise Your works to another, And shall declare Your mighty acts.
Psalms 145:4 NASB

That the generation to come might know, even the children yet to be born, That they may arise and tell them to their children, That they should put their confidence in God And not forget the works of God, But keep His commandments,
Psalms 78:6‭-‬7 NASB

It is the living who give thanks to You, as I do today; A father tells his sons about Your faithfulness.
Isaiah 38:19 NASB

And even when I am old and gray, O God, do not forsake me, Until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to all who are to come.
Psalms 71:18 NASB

Praising and proclaiming Jesus Christ is a life long endeavor that passes from generation to generation. Could the condition of our world be as it is because we have failed to proclaim the wonderful works of God, His strength, His power? Have we failed because we have not put our own confidence in God, following His commandments in obedience?

A daily, continual (minute by minute) walk with God naturally causes a desire to praise God and declare His mighty works. It starts with you and your relationship with Jesus Christ. To know Him is to love Him. To love Him is to proclaim Him.

🌹Don’t know Jesus? Seek someone who is a Christian, a church, God Himself to know. God said if you seek you will find.

🌹Professing Christian with nothing to proclaim? Repent before the Lord today. Turn and walk with God and He will give you opportunities to proclaim His name!

Great is Our Lord

Great is the Lord, and highly to be praised, And His greatness is unsearchable.
Psalms 145:3 NASB

Great is our Lord and abundant in strength; His understanding is infinite.
Psalms 147:5 NASB

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth Does not become weary or tired. His understanding is inscrutable.
Isaiah 40:28 NASB

Great is our God!
– His greatness is unsearchable.
– He is abundant in strength.
– His understanding is infinite!
– He is everlasting.
– He is Creator of the ends of the earth.
– He does not become weary or tired.
– His understanding is inscrutable (incomprehensible, unfathomable).

Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways!
Romans 11:33 NASB

“Can you discover the depths of God? Can you discover the limits of the Almighty?
Job 11:7 NASB

Our God is rich in wisdom and knowledge so why do we walk in our own knowledge and wisdom? Why do we struggle so when God is just a prayer away. Why do we strive for the things which are not of God?
Our God is limitless and unfathomable are His ways. Now is the time to trust Him, turn to Him, follow Him, abide in Him, seek Him.
Slow down, be still, know that great is our God.

🌹Yet those who wait for the Lord Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary.
Isaiah 40:31 NASB

Eternal Praise

And, “You, Lord, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the works of Your hands;
Hebrews 1:10‭ NASB

They will perish, but You remain; And they all will wear out like a garment,
Hebrews 1:11 NASB

— Raise your eyes to the sky, Then look to the earth beneath; For the sky will vanish like smoke, And the earth will wear out like a garment And its inhabitants will die in the same way. But My salvation will be forever, And My righteousness will not fail.
Isaiah 51:6 NASB

And like a robe You will roll them up; Like a garment they will also be changed. But You are the same, And Your years will not come to an end.”
Hebrews 1:12 NASB

— Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today, and forever.
Hebrews 13:8 NASB

🌹Thank You, God, that Your salvation is forever and Your righteousness will not fail. You have always been, You are and You will always be!! May we find hope, peace and abundant praise for You in knowing Your years will not come to an end. Amen

Gathering

How lovely are Your dwelling places, O Lord of hosts! My soul longed and even yearned for the courts of the Lord; My heart and my flesh sing for joy to the living God. How blessed are those who dwell in Your house! They are ever praising You. Selah. For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand outside. I would rather stand at the threshold of the house of my God Than dwell in the tents of wickedness.       Psalms 84:1‭-‬2‭, ‬4‭, ‬10 NASB

For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.” Matthew 18:20 NASB

not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.   Hebrews 10:25 NASB

My husband and I did some deliveries to homebound brothers and sisters yesterday and spent some time visiting. Our intention was to make the delivery and hopefully encourage those who we saw BUT I do believe that I was more encouraged and spirit lifted than they were.

What a blessing it is to spend time with the people of God. To speak of Jesus, His work in our lives, the lives of our love ones, to praise His mighty works, to encourage and be encouraged.

This morning my heart is joyful, content, at peace and believe it is because I dwelt in the courts of the Lord. Dwelt with God’s people where God is in the midst of our conversation, our small gathering. To God be the glory for His church.

As we celebrate around the world the birth of Jesus on December 25th, let us praise and thank Him for His church, the people of God, to whom He came to establish for His glory and purpose.

For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.    Isaiah 9:6 NASB

Righteous Suffering

He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He did not open His mouth; Like a lamb that is led to slaughter, And like a sheep that is silent before its shearers, So He did not open His mouth.        Isaiah 53:7 NASB

For what credit is there if, when you sin and are harshly treated, you endure it with patience? But if when you do what is right and suffer for it you patiently endure it, this finds favor with God.    1 Peter 2:20 NASB

For you have been called for this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps, Who committed no sin, nor was any deceit found in his mouth; and while being reviled, He did not revile in return; while suffering, He uttered no threats, but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously; 1 Peter 2:21‭-‬23 NASB

For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. Hebrews 12:3 NASB

🌹 And He was saying to them all, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, he is the one who will save it.            Luke 9:23‭-‬24 NASB

From Beginning to End

God made the two great lights, the greater light to govern the day, and the lesser light to govern the night; He made the stars also. God placed them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth, and to govern the day and the night, and to separate the light from the darkness; and God saw that it was good. There was evening and there was morning, a fourth day.                                                 Genesis 1:16-‬19 NASB

God made the two great lights, the greater light to govern the day, and the lesser light to govern the night; He made the stars also.
Genesis 1:16

There was evening and there was morning, a fourth day.                    Genesis 1:19

The first day of creation God said, “Let there be light”, Genesis 1:3. God separated the light from the darkness.

In verses 16 and 19, God created the sun, moon and stars on the 4th day.
(Thank you Shellie for sharing this revelation).

So what was this light that God spoke and said that it was good on the first day of creation? Well turn from the beginning of God’s word, Genesis, to the end of His word, Revelation.

And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the Lamb. The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it. In the daytime (for there will be no night there) its gates will never be closed; and they will bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it; and nothing unclean, and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever come into it, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.                   Revelation 21:23‭-‬27 NASB

“the people who were sitting in darkness  saw a great light, and those who were sitting in the land and shadow of death, upon them a light dawned.”                                              Mark 4:16

The glory of the Lord! The Lamb of God. Heaven will have no darkness. Only the Light of God.

O the things we have to look forward to as the faithful children of God. . .

“No longer will you have the sun for light by day, Nor for brightness will the moon give you light; But you will have the Lord for an everlasting light, And your God for your glory. “Your sun will no longer set, Nor will your moon wane; For you will have the Lord for an everlasting light, And the days of your mourning will be over.                                                    Isaiah 60:19‭-‬20 NASB

And there will no longer be any night; and they will not have need of the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because the Lord God will illumine them; and they will reign forever and ever.                                            Revelation 22:5 NASB

The Word is a Person

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.              John 1:1 NASB

And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.                                              John 1:14 NASB

Let us not forget that the Word of God is a Person. The Person of Jesus Christ. All of the history in the Old Testament was about the relationship of man to God revealing Jesus, the Person, the Word, that would come in the flesh to reveal Himself as Savior and the reconciliation of man to the Father.

The New Testament, the Word, is about that work of reconciliation and the ultimate crescendo to life eternal with the Word, Jesus Christ.

Without the Word we have no hope, no reconciliation, no relationship. Do you want to know Jesus and be reconciled to the Father? Look to the Word, Jesus Christ.

So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:11 NASB

🌹Know the Word by reading the Word of God.

Is

“Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of hosts.”
Zechariah 4:6b NASB

“But by My Spirit”

“Woe to the rebellious children,” declares the Lord, “Who execute a plan, but not Mine, And make an alliance, but not of My Spirit, In order to add sin to sin;”
Isaiah 30:1 NASB

“but not of My Spirit,”

“Thus says the Lord, “Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind And makes flesh his strength, And whose heart turns away from the Lord.”
Jeremiah 17:5 NASB

We make plans. We put our trust in alliances that are not of God. We trust in our own intellect, our own weak strengths. But did not God give us His Spirit to teach, guide, protect, strengthen by His power and might? Our hearts are turned away when we trust in anything or anyone other than the Lord Himself.

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord And whose trust is the Lord.”
Jeremiah 17:7 NASB

Not only trusting IN Him but whose trust IS Him.
