Accepted!!!

‘Now when you offer a sacrifice of peace offerings to the Lord, you shall offer it so that you may be accepted. — Leviticus 19:5

Results of Justification
Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, — Romans 5:1

Thank you God for sending Jesus, the ultimate peace offering, that I may be accepted. What love to send Your Son as justification that through Him I may be acceptable in Your sight. What peace is mine.

Promise: You are His Child

which God, who cannot lie — Titus 1:2
For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. — Galatians 3:26
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, — John 1:12

God cannot lie so we are children of God, if through faith in Christ Jesus, we believe in His name. God cannot lie which means we can trust these Words of His. We are His children and this being so we receive every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.

The blessing of being holy and blameless before Him. Having His grace bestowed upon us through Jesus Christ and redemption through His blood. The forgiveness of our trespasses and having made known to us the mystery of His will. Because we are children we receive an inheritance and are sealed in Him (Jesus Christ) with the Holy Spirit of promise.

Those are promises to hang on to, rely on, trust in. If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who died on the cross for you so that you can be holy and blameless before God, then you have all these promises bestowed on you. You need not be discouraged. You have hope in these promises. Hang on to them and trust in the One who promises them to you. You can do great and mighty things through Christ when you hang on to His promises.

Go in peace and trust in the everlasting God Almighty and His perfect promises.

He Is Everywhere

The eyes of the Lord are in every place, Watching the evil and the good. — Proverbs 15:3
Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend to heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the dawn, If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea, Even there Your hand will lead me, And Your right hand will lay hold of me. — Psalm 139:7-10

God is omnipresent (present everywhere at the same time). There is no hiding, running, escaping His watchful eye. This can be either good or bad depending on your perspective. The Lord’s eyes are in every place watching the evil and the good.

If you have no regard for God or don’t believe in Him I guess this would not bother you. It should since He is real, alive and there is no escape from your Creator. For those of us who believe in Almighty God through Jesus Christ we might find this intimidating. To think He is with us seeing everything we do. Everywhere we go. Hearing everything we say. It would behoove us to remember this as we journey through our day.

A comforting perspective is that God is with us at all times. We can’t possibly be anywhere that He cannot reach us. If you know Jesus and walk with Him you can take confidence in this promise (fact). No matter where we are He will lead us and His strong right hand will hold us. That is something to rejoice about. Take confidence in the One True God. Seek Him to know Him. Therein lies your comfort, peace and confidence.

Grasp. Seek. Know. Hope.

Seek, Wait, Hope

“The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I have hope in Him.” The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, To the person who seeks Him. — Lamentations 3:24-25

“The Lord is my portion.” He is my inheritance. He is all I need. He is everything I could ever want or need in this life and especially in the next. For without Him I would never experience eternal life with Him. Because He is all I will ever need I hope in Him. My soul is confident to say, “I have hope in Him”.

God’s eye is on those who hope for His lovingkindness, on those who fear Him. (Ps. 33:18) To have God’s eye on you holds so many promises and peace. To revere His holiness and purity. To revel in His love and blessings. To have peace in His protection and care. Those are for those who hope in Him.

God is good to those who wait on Him. As in yesterday’s devotion, we hear from Him when we take the time to wait on the Lord. He is good to us when we wait on Him. He wants to give us blessings, guide us in our day, help us on our journey of life to fulfill His purpose for us. All those are good things. He is good to those who wait for Him. Wait for His triumphant return. Hope.

While we wait we can seek His face. Longing for the Lord my soul diligently seeks Him. This too is good. Seek the Lord and His strength, seek His face continually (Ps. 105:4). Wait on Him. Hope in Him.

Continually seeking Him,

Sharon

At night my soul longs for You, Indeed, my spirit within me seeks You diligently; For when the earth experiences Your judgments The inhabitants of the world learn righteousness. Isaiah 26:9

WAIT!!!!!!!!?

I wait for the Lord, my soul does wait, And in His word do I hope. My soul waits for the Lord More than the watchmen for the morning; Indeed, more than the watchmen for the morning. — Psalm 130:5-6

Wait. . . Wait . . . Wait . . .

That is a four letter word to us today. No one likes to wait. We look for the shortest line in the grocery store. When we ring the bell for service we want someone to answer that bell right away. When we sit in the doctor’s office waiting room we keep looking at our watches, or cell phones, to see how much they are running behind. We just don’t like to wait. It is an inconvenience. We are always in a hurry. To go where???

In our hurried lifestyle today we miss out on a lot. We don’t take the time to really listen and notice our children. They are just an added burden to the hurried lifestyle. We can’t seem to find a smile to share with someone as they hurriedly pass us by. We don’t notice God’s awesome creation — new life in the Spring, the beautiful blue sky and green grass of Summer, the colors of Fall and the pure white of Winter snow or the bare trees awaiting Spring. There is that “wait” again. The trees waiting for the blooms of Spring to dress them again. We tend to half listen to conversations we have with others and then wonder why communication is the biggest problem in relationships.

The biggest communication problem today is the lack of hearing the voice of God. We are too much in a hurry to spend time waiting on the Lord. Yet when we do wait upon the Lord we can hear His still small voice of direction, encouragement, love. My hope for the future is found in the waiting room of the Lord. He is my hope. He is my direction into the future. He guides my steps and my ways. Without Him I am merely walking blindly into the future with no direction or encouragement.

Take time to wait on the Lord. He is so worth it. Hope for the future and peace for the present.

Fountain of Living Water

O Lord, the hope of Israel, All who forsake You will be put to shame. Those who turn away on earth will be written down, Because they have forsaken the fountain of living water, even the Lord. — Jeremiah 17:13
How blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, Whose hope is in the Lord his God, — Psalm 146:5

Hope in the Lord does not bring about shame. He is a trustworthy God who will not forsake His own. Turn to the Lord, the living water, from whom we are quenched. God loves us and desires us to do His will for the benefit of our souls and for His glory. He will not let us down. He will not forsake us so do not forsake Him. Turn to Jesus for the help to face each day, to know the freedom from sin only He can give, and to experience peace in a world of chaos. He so longs to show you all the hidden treasures of wisdom and knowledge that is Jesus Christ Himself.

Seek out the Lord Jesus Christ — by reading His Word, talking to a friend who knows Jesus, going to a church that proclaims the Good News of Jesus Christ and/or talking to Jesus by prayer. He is listening. Open your heart to receive all He has planned for you. He is your hope!

Overflowing Hope

May God, the source of hope, fill you with joy and peace through your faith in him. Then you will overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. — Romans 15:13(GW)

Are you lacking hope? Are you missing the source? Do you know Jesus as your personal Savior and Lord?

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. — John 3:16-17 Jesus is our Savior, the giver of eternal life, to everyone who believes in Him.

For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, — 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 Belief that Jesus died for our sins, was buried and God raised Him from death.

That belief is faith. Through our continued living faith, God fills us with joy and peace. Is your life filled with joy and peace? Most faces I see and pass by daily don’t show it, so I wonder how many people really are experiencing joy and peace in their lives. That raises two thoughts in my mind. The first, do they know Jesus? Really know Him? Second, am I living out my faith that others can see it?

If we are living our faith out with joy and peace then we should be overflowing with hope by the living power of the Holy Spirit in our lives. What would you say is the level of hope in our world today? Is that overflowing hope present in our lives? Is it impacting our corner of the world? What can we do to bring hope to the hopeless?

Let us evaluate our faith. Let us seek Jesus through faith and experience the joy and peace that will, by the power of the Holy Spirit, overflow our lives with hope for ourselves and others.

Determination

He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him.” — John 14:21

Do you want to see Jesus? Really see Him and experience His love and grace? Really know Him intimately? Are you seeking that sold out to Jesus relationship? Are you desiring His guidance and leadership in your life? Are you needing His comfort and peace?

Well if you do, it will take obedience. Obedience to God’s commands. That means searching the Word of God with prayer and determination. Determination that nothing will get in the way of your daily seeking of God through His Word and prayer. Determination to practice His Word on a daily basis. Determination to share your victories (testimonies to God) and your failures in prayer with the Lord. Keeping your eyes fixed on Jesus the author and perfecter of your faith.*

Our practicing obedience demonstrate our love for Jesus. In our love for Jesus comes the blessing of the love of the Father toward us. And still more love is directed toward us from Jesus Christ Himself. And the crescendo? Jesus will disclose Himself to us! What a promise to work toward. He will make Himself known, reveal Himself, allowing Himself to be seen. That is a most wonderful promise.

So? Do you want to see Jesus? Seek Him.

Wonderful Devotional

Sharing an exceptional devotion from my good friend and brother in Christ. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Pastor Anthony L. Taylor

Real Talk: Why be in love with Jesus and the Gospel?

This is what He did for those who have been changed by the Gospel and its power…

What Christ has attained for us through his death and resurrection are immeasurable. Through his cross-work Christ has provided reconciliation to God, forgiveness of sins, propitiation, the ability to live for God, eternal life, justification, inheritance in heaven, righteousness, healing, bodily resurrection, intercession for the weak, peace, freedom, unity among believers, an example, redemption, advocacy, deliverance from fear of death, hope, wisdom, regeneration, access to God’s presence, and all things. In short, Christ’s death has given us God. It is literally the difference between eternal anguish and destruction apart from God, and eternal life and happiness with God.

The work of Christ is therefore something to be cherished, valued, honored, studied, and proclaimed.

This is what He will do when He returns in glory…

Revelation 19:11-13New American Standard Bible (NASB)

The Coming of Christ

11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war. 12 His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many diadems; and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself. 13 He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.14 And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses. 15 From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the (God hating) nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty.

My Thoughts: His love is immeasurable, but so is His wrath to come…

Turn to Christ while you have a chance, turn from your sin, which is in hostile rebellion against a holy GOD.
